Fungi of Bangladesh

New genera and species of mushroom unveiled from Bangladesh.

Just published and I am one of the contributors of this big article (over 50 pages). Yang et al. (2024) Heinemannomyces, Hymenagaricus and Xanthagaricus revisited (Basidiomycota, Agaricaceae)/https://phytotaxa.mapress.com/pt/article/view/phytotaxa.659.2.2. In this paper, eight new species of Xanthagaricus are described including three new records from China. Heinemannomyces (H. splendidissimus), a well-known monotypic genus transferred to Hymenagaricus. Interestingly, one species Xanthagaricus necopinatus, originally described from Bangladesh (collected from Chondrima Uddan, Dhaka), now found in China and Thailand. Special thanks to Kun L. Slime mold. Stemonitis sp. Found in Singra Forest, Birgonj, Dinajpur.

Phallus sp. You may find it on the bamboo stump and other dead materials or on the ground.

Leucocoprinus birnbaumii, a very common mushroom during rainy season throughout the world. You might have seen it. Today I photographed it at Akhanagar, Thakurgaon.

নতুন প্রজাতির মাশরুমের নামকরন এবার আমাদের প্রিয় মাতৃভূমি বাংলাদেশের নামে। লিমাসেলা বাংলাদেশানা (Limacella bangladeshana). ঠাকুরগাঁও জেলার পীরগঞ্জের সাগুনি শাল বাগান থেকে ২০১১ সালে সংগ্রহ করা হয়েছিল এবং কয়েকদিন আগে এটি প্রকাশিত হয়েছে Phytotaxa তে ।
