According to the ๐ผ๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐๐ง ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐, the accident occurred at Monir's residence in the ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ๐ป๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ๐ฟ area. He reportedly fell from the ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฑ-๐ณ๐น๐ผ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐น๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ of his mess and came into contact with a ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ below, resulting in severe electrocution.
Fellow students immediately rescued him and rushed him to ๐ง๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐ฎ๐ถ๐น ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ด๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฝ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐น, where the attending physician ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ต๐ถ๐บ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ.
Following the incident, information spread rapidly across student groups as classmates and friends sought updates on his condition. According to several students, Monir was ๐๐๐ถ๐น๐น ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐ถ๐บ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ ๐ฎ๐ณ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ and was taken to the hospital without delay. However, despite prompt medical attention, he could not be saved.
In a public Facebook post, ๐๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ณ๐๐น ๐๐น๐ฎ๐บ ๐ฅ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ผ๐, a senior student of the ICT Department, shared that they had initially been informed Monir was receiving treatment at the hospital. Within just ๐ญ๐ฑโ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐๐๐ฒ๐, however, news of his passing arrived. He described the incident as an irreparable loss for the ICT family and expressed concern over the safety standards of student accommodations surrounding the university.
Another student, ๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐ฟ ๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป, wrote on social media that concerns had previously been raised regarding the safety of the building. He called for a ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฟ ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, appropriate action if negligence is found, and stronger measures to ensure safer accommodation for students.

Monir hailed from ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ท๐ฝ๐๐ฟ and was studying in the ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ, ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ of the ICT Department.
