মাওলানা ভাসানী বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের ১৫তম ব্যাচ ২য় বর্ষ ২য় সেমিস্টারের শিক্ষার্থী জায়মা জার্নাস তুষ্টি (২২) পেট ব্যথায় আক্রান্ত হয়ে সোমবার রাত ৯ টায় টাঙ্গাইল শেখ হাসিনা মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়। পরবর্তীতে রাত ৩ টায় চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় মৃত্যুবরণ করেন (ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন)। জায়মা জার্নাস তুষ্টি টাঙ্গাইল জেলা সখীপুর উপজেলার দড়িয়াপুর গ্রামের মোঃ জাহাঙ্গীর আলম ও নার্গিস আক্তারের বড় মেয়ে।
তাঁর মৃত্যুতে মাওলানা ভাসানী বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে ভাইস-চ্যান্সেলর প্রফেসর ড. মোঃ ফরহাদ হোসেন গভীর শোক প্রকাশ করেন। তিনি মরহুমার রূহের মাগফিরাত কামনা করে শোক সন্তপ্ত পরিবারের সদস্যদের প্রতি সমবেদনা জানান এবং পরিবারের সদস্যদের এ শোক সহ্য করার তাওফিক দানের জন্য পরম করুণাময় আল্লাহ তায়ালার নিকট প্রার্থনা করেন।
এছাড়া বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রো-ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর প্রফেসর ড. এ আর এম সোলাইমান, ট্রেজারার প্রফেসর ড. মো: সিরাজুল ইসলাম ও টেক্সটাইল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের পক্ষ থেকেও শোক জানানো হয়।
জায়মা জার্নাস তুষ্টির মৃতদেহ মঙ্গলবার বেলা ১১টায় জানাযা শেষে পারিবারিক কবরস্থানে দাফন করা হয়।

Department of Textile Engineering, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) is going to organise its very first Textile fest - ' Textile Olympiad-2022 ', on 16 October 2022.

Announcement:

Today we are living in an era of competition. To survive in this era, we always need to outdo ourselves. There are always new strategies to learn. This is the key to success. Therefore, the students of textile engineering must prepare themselves with different competitive skills and technical knowledge to thrive in the field of the textile world.

We are asking for participants from all over the country who currently study in the Textile discipline. The event will be covered by prestigious broadcast media, " Somoy TV" and "Radio Today 89.6 FM". In association with, " Prothom Alo". There will be guests from academia and industry leaders, and definitely, by showcasing your talent you can surely secure a bright future in this field.

Submission deadline: 08 October 2022. (23:59:59 BD Local Time)

1. Opening ceremony: (9:00-10:00)am

2. Competition (Quiz, Debate, Documentary): (10:00am -2:00pm)

3. Lunch break : ( 2:00 - 3:00 ) PM

4. Competition ( Design Exhibition ): ( 3:00 - 4:30 ) PM

5. Prize-giving ceremony : ( 4:30 - 5:00 ) PM

6. Closing speech: ( 5:00 - 5:30 ) PM

* Registration fee for each segment ( Quiz, Debate, Documentary, Design Exhibition) is 300 BDT.***

If anyone participates in multiple segments he/she will still receive only One T-shirt and One food package.

**Rules of segments :
- Quiz: 50 questions, time 40 mins. ( Based on Textile)

- Debate: Parliamentary debate of 3 group members, medium Bangla. Time 1 hour per debate on this---15 mins preparatory time, each member will get 5 mins time for their speech and in rebuttal 3 mins, 1 min strategic time.

- Documentary: The video length must be 2 mins to the highest 2:30 mins. ( Textile Related )
*Documentary would be mp4 or mkv file of
Ratio 16:9 *
- Design exhibition: This can be a logo design or T-shirt design or any other garments.
( The design should be in JPEG, PNG, PSD, AI format, or Tiff )
