Jalalabad Cantonment Public School & College

The school was established in 1999 and approved by Sylhet Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Established in 1999, the institution is regulated by the Bangladesh Army and approved by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Sylhet. The institution offers higher secondary subjects (including science, commerce and arts programmes). Emphasis is placed on discipline and the quality of the teaching. The facilities include a 1,000 seat auditorium and a 100-place hostel with campus of 10.5 acres area. Each student is assigned to a house. There are Padma House, Meghna House and Jamuna House. Each house has different shoulder flaps. there are competitions among houses. the house which gets most point wins. Motto: জ্ঞানে আলোকিত (Enlighten with knowledge)
The Principal of this college is usually a Lieutenant Colonel of the Army Education Corps of Bangladesh Army. If an officer is not found who is a Lieutenant Colonel then a civilian is employed as the principal. The Prolocutor of the Governing Body is the Station Commander of Jalalabad Cantonment. The Prolocutor is a Brigadier General of Bangladesh Army. The Principal is the Member Secretary of the Governing Body.
