This year we are celebrating *50 Years of Independence of Bangladesh* as part of the Bloomsbury Festival!

Historical, beautiful and seething with bookish charm, *Bloomsbury is the intellectual and literary capital of London*.

Fittingly *Bloomsbury Festival celebrates* the area’s *pioneering creativity, achievements and culture* by presenting an inspiring programme of arts, science, literature, performance, discussion and reflection *that captures the essence of Bloomsbury* perfectly.

Hosted at various venues like the UCL, British Library, Museums, Gardens, Galleries, Wellcome Collection, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, SOAS and University of London Senate House, the festival celebrates an area that *influenced the world in more ways than most*.

*What better place to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Independence of Bangladesh*—and share with Londoners and visitors alike, a bit of Bangladeshi culture and heritage and the stories of migration—*than in Bloomsbury*, a place which is a catalyst for London’s position as one of the greatest cities and cultural hubs of the world.
