Parents' Meeting- 2026

Today a Parents' Meeting was organised at the auditorium of Jalalabad Cantonment English School and College.

The meeting was chaired by the Principal, Lt Col Arifur Rahman, psc, AEC, PhD, in the presence of the Vice Principal, Shahana Ahmed Chowdhury, the Guardian Representative and all the Class Teachers from Nursery to STD-V.

There the Guardians shared their valuable views, suggestions, concerns and appreciation regarding various aspects of the institution.

The Principal and Class Teachers listened attentively to the concerns raised and noted the key-points for further discussion and necessary action. Several queries were also addressed and resolved during the meeting.

The institution sincerely appreciates the guardians for their active participation, constructive feedback, and continuous support.
Their valuable contributions will contribute significantly to the continued development of Jalalabad Cantonment English School and College.

Prize Distribution

The prize money was distributed among the winners by Principal Lieutenant Colonel Arifur Rahman, psc, PhD, AEC, and the Vice Principal who congratulated the students on their outstanding achievements and encouraged them to continue pursuing scientific exploration and innovation.

All participants who did not secure any position in the Science Fair were also awarded a uniform amount of prize money. This thoughtful initiative made them happy, motivated, and encouraged them to participate with even greater enthusiasm in future events.

Senior Teacher Ms Mahbuba Begum Mukta hosted the ceremony, while Assistant Teacher Mr Dipangkar Das served as the Convener of the program.

Heartiest congratulations to all the winners and participants! We also appreciate the dedicated efforts of the teachers and everyone who contributed to making the Inter House Science Fair 2026 a successful and inspiring event.

Inter House Science Fair 2026:

Jalalabad Cantonment English School & College (JCESC) proudly hosted its Inter House Science Fair 2026 today with great enthusiasm and scientific spirit.
We were honoured to welcome Major General Md. Alimul Amin, SUP, ndc, psc, M. Phil, GOC, 17 Infantry Division and Chief Patron, JCESC, who visited the Science Fair along with the Chairman, JCESC and all other Commanders of 17 Infantry Division. The program was started with a colorful inauguration ceremony.

The Chief Patron emphasized the importance of research, innovation, and extracurricular activities in students’ overall development. He encouraged the students to focus on developing innovative ideas and practical projects. He also stressed the need to provide funding and necessary support for the best projects so that students can further develop their ideas and bring their innovations to a higher level.
The event was further enriched by the presence of the respected judges from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), who evaluated the innovative projects presented by our young scientists.

The Science Fair provided our students with an inspiring platform to demonstrate their creativity, scientific thinking, innovation, and problem-solving skills. Their enthusiasm and dedication truly reflected the spirit of learning beyond the classroom.

Heartfelt appreciation to all the students, teachers, judges, and everyone involved in making Inter House Science Fair 2026 a memorable and successful event. Nurturing curiosity today, inspiring innovation for tomorrow.

Alhamdulillah! JCESC Charity Club inaugurated three meaningful humanitarian initiatives: the Free Safe Drinking Water Point & Free Food Corner, Charity Box, and Old Clothes & Shoes Drop Box today. Our respected Chairman, Brig. Gen. S. M. Saifur Rahman, afwc, psc, was present in the inauguration ceremony as Chief Guest. He was accompanied by our respected Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, and Charity Club members.

During the program, our Chairman delivered an inspiring message on the importance of compassion, generosity, and selfless service. He encouraged students to cultivate the habit of helping those in need and to become responsible citizens who lead with kindness, empathy, and humanity.

These initiatives reflect our belief that education is not only about academic excellence but also about nurturing caring hearts and strong moral values. Every meal shared, every glass of safe drinking water offered, and every donated piece of clothing or pair of shoes can bring hope, comfort, and dignity to someone's life.

We are also thankful to Assistant Teacher Mr. Ruhul Amin, the Convener of the JCESC Charity Club, for his dedicated efforts in organizing today's program.

Learning becomes more meaningful when knowledge meets real-life experience. Today, the students of STD-X enjoyed an inspiring study tour to Habibnagar Tea Garden, where they explored the fascinating process of tea production, from freshly plucked leaves to the final packaged product. The factory visit offered valuable insights into one of Bangladesh's most important industries and enriched their classroom learning with practical observation.

Our respected Principal, Lt Col Md Arifur Rahman, psc, PhD, AEC, accompanied his beloved students throughout the visit and wholeheartedly enjoyed every moment of the educational tour and cultural programme, making the day even more memorable for everyone.

The cultural programm was beautifully hosted by Mahdi and Tehamee, students of STD-X, whose confident presentation added colour and charm to the occasion.

JCESC expresses heartfelt gratitude to the authority of Habibnagar Tea Garden for their warm hospitality and generous support. Assistant Teacher Umed Raja was the convener of this wonderful arrangement, whose sincere efforts ensured the success of this enriching study tour.

The Grand Final of the Inter House Parliamentary English Debate Competition-2026 (School Section) was a remarkable celebration of critical thinking, confidence, and eloquence at JCESC. Respected Principal Lt Col Md Arifur Rahman, psc, PhD, AEC graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The motion, "This House believes that artificial general intelligence (AGI) will have a more positive than negative impact on students' learning in the future," inspired a thought-provoking contest between Osmani House (Government Bench) and Shahjalal House (Opposition Bench). After an intense battle of logic and persuasive arguments, Osmani House emerged as the Champion. Fabiha Lamisha Ahmed Zara was adjudged the Best Speaker.

In his inspiring remarks, the Principal encouraged students to think critically, communicate confidently, and embrace knowledge with an open mind. We sincerely thank the Debate Club for organizing such a creative and intellectually enriching event.

Jalalabad Cantonment English School & College joyfully celebrated its Fruit Festival 2026. The programme was graced by our respected Principal, Lt Col Md Arifur Rahman, psc, PhD, AEC, as the Chief Guest. He visited every beautifully arranged stall, from Nursery to Std XII, appreciating the students' creativity, teamwork, and presentation skills.

The festival was convened by Senior Teacher Lucky Begum, whose dedicated leadership ensured its successful ex*****on. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Decoration Committee for making the entire campus more colourful and festive.

The festival aimed to promote healthy eating habits, increase awareness of the nutritional value of fruits, encourage creativity, and strengthen collaboration among students. It was truly a memorable celebration of learning beyond the classroom.

With profound respect and patriotism, Jalalabad Cantonment English School & College observed July Uprising Day 2026 through a series of meaningful programmes. Students enthusiastically participated in various competitions and activities, reflecting on the values of courage, unity, and love for the nation.

The discussion session commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an by Habibullah, a student of Std XII. Adib Talukder of Std XII read out the message of the Hon'ble President, while Zareen Tasnim of Std VIII delivered the message of the Hon'ble Prime Minister. The programme was further enriched by inspiring speeches from Tartila Tabassum, a student of Std IX, and Assistant Teacher Abu Tahir, who highlighted the significance of the July Uprising and the responsibility of the younger generation to uphold the nation's values.

In his thoughtful address, our respected Principal, Lt Col Md Arifur Rahman, psc, PhD, AEC, encouraged students to care for themselves, their families, and, above all, their country. He reminded everyone that responsible, compassionate, and patriotic citizens are the foundation of a prosperous Bangladesh.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt dua conducted by Assistant Teacher Tahsin Ahmed, seeking peace, unity, and continued progress for the nation. The event was gracefully hosted by Assistant Teacher Fariha Liyakat Ovi, while Assistant Teacher Khorshed Alam served as the Convener, ensuring the successful observance of this memorable day.
