সেন্টার ফর স্ট্রাটেজি এন্ড পলিসি ইনভেসন (সিএসপিআই) ও মেট্রোপলিটন ইউনিভার্সিটি মডেল ইউনাইটেড নেশনস অ্যাসোসিয়েশন এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে স্পেশাল কমিটি ফর রিফরমেশন অ্যাকশন প্ল্যান (স্কারপ) নামে একটি বিশেষ ফোকাস গ্রুপ ডিসকাশন আয়োজিত হয়।

মেট্রোপলিটন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় আয়োজিত অভ্যন্তরীন ছায়া জাতিসংঘে, সেক্রেটারি জেনারেল মেহজেবীন চৌধুরীর অনুমতিক্রমে, স্কারপ বিশেষায়িত বাংলা কমিটির মর্যাদা পায়।

স্কারপ-এর এজেন্ডা ছিল, অন্তর্ভুক্তিমলূক ও সমতা ভিত্তিক নেতৃত্ব নিশ্চত করতে আইন কাঠামোর সংস্কার।

স্কারপ-এর চিফ কমিশনারের দায়িত্ব পালন করেন সিএসপিআই-এর প্রোগ্রাম অ্যাসোসিয়েট, চয়ন দাস। কমিশনার সমন্বয় ও রিপোর্টিং বিভাগের দায়িত্ব পালন করেন সিএসপিআই-এর সহকারী ইশরাত চৌধুরী এবং কমিশনার প্রয়োগ ও বাস্তবায়ন বিভাগের দায়িত্ব পালন করেন লিডিং বিশ্ববিদ্যালযয়ের, মোঃ জুনাঈদ সিদ্দিকী আসিফ।

কমিটিতে অংশগ্রহণ করেন মেট্রোপলিটন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা। তাঁরা বিভিন্ন রাষ্ট্রের ছায়া প্রতিনিধি হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেন।

তাঁরা এজেন্ডা বাস্তবায়নের উদ্দেশ্যে নির্মমক্ত প্রস্তাবনা প্রদান করেছেন।

The first phase of The project Gashful has come to an end. With an investigative mindset, the project team has hosted a workshop on story collection. With that particular skill set the assistants went to the field. They have identified that life is not what it seems from a linear angle. It is full of curves, colors and most importantly stories.

The Project Ghasful team has adopted the method of anthropological observation. To visit and collect stories from the natural habitat of the samples. This not only enabled us to have a greater perspective of an individual's work, but at the same time it allowed the team to understand the complexity of the socio-economic reality of the northeastern region of Bangladesh.

We have entered our second phase and we are excited to learn, understand and evolve.

Stories have the power of change and knowledge is threaded with in.

For any field researcher, anthropology of the data is valuable and a must for proper intelligence generation.

So, join us for "Collecting Stories: Approaches of a Field Researcher" — an open dialogue on human experiences, methods, and meaning-making.

CSPI is a centre fuelled by the energy of the youth for positive change. All CSPI assistants are passionate reformers and change agents. The assistants have joined CSPI to gain a better understanding of the policy spectrum in Bangladesh and to prepare themselves as future policymakers who will bring innovation to policy-building strategies. Their goal is to make development sustainable and realistic.

CSPI Assistants are not only limited to research; they are active citizens who believe in actions and are deeply motivated for evidence-based approaches. Their passion leads them from fieldwork and in-person investigation to understanding the complexity of the society and proposing innovative action plans for resilience, reforming, and advancement.

Today the CSPI Assistants had a wonderful meeting with the centre Director Chowdhury Mujaddid Ahmed. The meeting has adopted the decision to initiate "Project Ghasful" led by Sarwar Ahmed Emran and Mahinur Rahman Pamel. A month long project funded by the Metropolitan University Bangladesh to collect stories of daily struggle and economic incentives from the people of the mergin. A strategic approach to understand the informal economic machinery of the greater North-East region of Bangladesh.

On the invitation of Metropolitan University Model United Nations Association, Centre for Strategy and Policy Innovation (CSPI) collaborated with the young leaders of the Model United Nations community to organize a two-day strategy development workshop in the form of Mock MUN 2024. The primary goal of the event was to introduce Metropolitan University's young student leaders to strategy development, strategic negotiation, and policy debate.

Multiple trainers from Dhaka University Model United Nations Association, SUST Model United Nations Association, and Leading University Model United Nations Association attended the event, making it a huge success.

The Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Jahirul Hoque was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony. With his important knowledge sharing and best wishes, the event went off on March 7, 2024.

The CSPI director, Chowdhury Mujaddid Ahmed, served as a resource person at the strategy-building conference. CSPI is a strong advocate of student leadership and young people in policy and believes initiative as such will be a strong contributor to building a better society and state.

Chowdhury Mujaddid Ahmed, Director of Centre for Strategy and Policy Innovation will be conducting a strategy building workshop via training on Model United Nations. CSPI believes it is essential to work with the youth of today and leaders of tomorrow to prepare them for policy related challenges for sustainable development and an inclusive society!
