LUMUNA gets the applause. LUMUNA gets the photographs, the awards, the highlight reels. But LUMUNA is not just the club that runs a conference. It is the months between them , and everything that holds it together when no event is on the horizon. The meetings that run long. The plans that fall apart and get rebuilt. The new member who isn't sure they belong yet. The executive who carries more than they show. The decisions that have no easy answer. The moments that never make it onto a poster, but quietly determine what kind of association we actually are. And in all of those moments, not just the visible ones, Ashfaque Ahmad Shovon Sir has been present. He is not the loudest voice in the room. He is the most necessary one.

What makes Sir irreplaceable is not a single role he plays, it is the range of them. He is the steady hand in a crisis and the patient ear on an ordinary Tuesday. He is the person members approach not only when something goes wrong at a conference, but when something feels uncertain in life, in direction, in confidence. His door, figuratively and otherwise, has never had conditions attached to it. You don't need a crisis to deserve his time. You never did. He doesn't need to be seen to matter. He has already proven that, through late consultations that never felt like an inconvenience, through advice that was honest even when honesty was the harder thing to offer, through a consistency that has never once wavered regardless of what season LUMUNA was in. When members have struggled, not just with club responsibilities, but with the weight that young people quietly carry, Sir has listened. Fully. Without rushing toward a solution before the person in front of him felt genuinely heard. That is not in any advisor's job description. That is simply who he is.

Titles in this association change every year. Committees are handed over. Roles are redefined. New faces step forward and carry the baton with fresh energy. Sir remains. And LUMUNA, every version of it, every batch, every generation of members that has walked through our doors, has been shaped by that constancy in ways that will outlast any single committee year. The culture of this association, the way we treat each other, the standards we hold ourselves to, the sense that this club is genuinely a place worth giving your best to, that did not happen by accident. It was tended to, carefully and continuously, by someone who never stopped caring about it.

We are proud to have Ashfaque Ahmad Shovon Sir as the Advisor of LUMUNA. But more than proud , we are lucky. The kind of lucky that you only fully appreciate when you look back and realise how differently things could have gone without the right person in the right place. Here's to the person behind every success we have ever celebrated, and behind every challenge we survived before the celebrations even began.

Picture the quietest person in the room. Now, picture that same person, years later, owning the room. This is not a hypothetical scenario. This is the story of our new President of the Leading University Model United Nations Association Steering Committee 2025-2026.

Md. Jonaid Siddiki Asif arrived at Leading University with no connections, no grand agenda and no carefully mapped out plan. He was soft-spoken and introverted, managing the quiet anxiety of a newcomer on a massive stage. However for him, mediocrity was never an option. And somewhere along the way, this boy found something he never expected, a home. That home was LUMUNA.

There is an understated strength in those who have proven their worth not just once, but repeatedly surviving days upon days of collaborative committees and midnight strategy sessions. Anyone who has crossed paths with LUMUNA has likely witnessed this quiet, hard-earned poise firsthand. This hard-won authority requires no introduction.

He travelled across the country representing LUMUNA, earning accolades, serving on the executive boards of various university MUNs, and helping elevate the standards of the entire Bangla MUN circuit. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to every conference, from Associate Member to the Executive Board. As Director of Delegate Affairs and Finance, he learned that true accountability belongs to people, not portfolios. A year later, as Under-Secretary-General at LUIMUN 2025, he set a new benchmark for what it means to command with both structure and soul. Asif brought a wave of visionary changes, pioneering ground-breaking transformations that completely elevated the landscape of delegate affairs. His ex*****on was so flawless that he earned the absolute trust of the entire institution. As the Delegation Wing Coordinator within the Steering Committee 2024-2025, he became the definitive bridge between vision and ex*****on. He efficiently managed ensuring smooth coordination and support through countless late nights and continuous dedication.

Delegate. Executive Board. Architect. He has lived the LUMUNA experience from every imaginable angle. From a person who once flinched at the thought of public speaking to the President of LUMUNA. That arc does not happen by accident. That happens when someone gives everything they have to, for years, without ever asking what they will get in return. We already know what LUMUNA means to him. This is not just a title being passed on. This is the right person stepping into the right role. This one was built. Year by year, night by night, quietly and completely. LUMUNA is in good hands.

Our highest commendations and warmest congratulations to Md. Jonaid Siddiki Asif on taking the helm of the Presidency of LUMUNA. Please join us in welcoming and celebrating the President of LUMUNA Steering Committee 2025–2026. The journey continues, and it has never looked more promising.

There are individuals whose presence quietly becomes a part of an organization’s identity, people whose dedication is not expressed through words alone, but through consistency, reliability, and the countless responsibilities they carry without hesitation. Today, LUMUNA proudly welcomes one such individual as Faiyaz Shahdib Sakib assumes the role of General Secretary for the Steering Committee 2025–2026.

For those who have worked beside him, his journey within LUMUNA has never been difficult to notice. From the earliest responsibilities he undertook to the larger roles entrusted to him over time, he carried each one with sincerity, patience, and a quiet determination that spoke louder than recognition ever could. Whether as the Assistant Organising Secretary of the Steering Committee 2024–2025 or as the Under Secretary-General for Conference Management of LUIMUN 2025, he became someone people could rely on, not only for his work, but for the sense of stability and support he brought to every team he was part of.

There is a different kind of leadership found in people who choose responsibility even when no one is watching. In the pressure before events, in the exhaustion behind successful programs, in the moments where things demanded more than comfort or convenience, he remained present with the same dedication and care for LUMUNA that has defined his journey from the beginning. His efforts were never simply about completing tasks; they reflected genuine belief in the organization, its people, and the community it continues to build.

This appointment is not merely a recognition of past contributions; it is a reflection of the trust, respect, and confidence he has earned throughout his journey. As he steps into this new chapter, we believe his leadership will continue to strengthen the values, vision, and spirit that define LUMUNA.

Congratulations to Faiyaz Shahdib Sakib on being appointed as the General Secretary of the Steering Committee 2025–2026. May his term be remembered for meaningful leadership, lasting impact, and continued excellence.

Every successful chapter of LUMUNA is carried forward by leaders who serve with dedication, patience, and purpose. This year, we are honored to introduce four individuals who have stood beside this association through work, responsibility, and commitment. Presenting the Vice Presidents of Leading University Model United Nations Association Steering Committee 2025–2026: Najifa Nujhat Chowdhury, Sohag Sarker, Saleha Begum Nisa, and Jahed Mahmud.

Najifa Nujhat Chowdhury is a name deeply associated with diligence, respect, and quiet strength. She served as Under Secretary General of Academics in LUIMUN 2025, where her contribution reflected both intelligence and responsibility. To many beginners in MUN, she has been more than a senior; she has been a mentor, a guide, and a reliable source of knowledge. Her resourcefulness has always made her a valuable part of LUMUNA. From guiding newcomers to pulling all-nighters just to get the work done, Najifa has shown what sincere commitment truly looks like.

Sohag Sarker is one of the strongest pillars behind the success of our conferences. He served as Director of Conference Management in LUIMUN 2024 and later as Under Secretary General of Conference Management in LUIMUN 2025. Whenever LUMUNA launched a conference, Sohag was one of the people who stood firm behind the structure, ex*****on, and problem-solving process. When discrepancies arose, Sohag didn't panic — he problem-solved. When cracks appeared, he filled them before most people even noticed. His institutional knowledge of conference operations is unmatched, and his calm under fire is the kind of quality that cannot be taught — only earned.

Ask Saleha Begum Nisa what comes first, and she'll tell you without hesitation — the club. As Research and Development Secretary in the steering committee, she understood that LUMUNA's strength lives in its knowledge, its systems, and the people willing to protect them. But what makes Saleha truly irreplaceable is not just what she built — it's how she stayed. She stayed connected with her juniors long after she had every reason to step back. She guided without being asked, reached out without being prompted, and offered her knowledge as freely as if it cost her nothing. Her motto, "Club first," is not a slogan — it is a lived practice that her juniors have watched, absorbed, and will carry forward.

Jahed Mahmud, our former Public Relation Secretary, has been a key member of LUMUNA and an important part of its growth. His contribution has helped strengthen the association’s communication, representation, and connection with others. A club does not only grow through events; it grows through people who know how to represent its spirit with confidence and care. Jahed has been one of those people. His presence, reliability, and commitment have made him a valuable part of our journey, and we are confident that he will continue to serve LUMUNA with dedication in this new role.

Together, these four leaders bring experience, responsibility, mentorship, communication, and ex*****on to the table. They step into their roles not only to support the President, but to guide the association, strengthen its members, and uphold the legacy of LUMUNA with pride.

Please join us in congratulating Najifa Nujhat Chowdhury, Sohag Sarker, Saleha Begum Nisa, and Jahed Mahmud, the Vice Presidents of LUMUNA Steering Committee 2025–2026. With their leadership, we look forward to a year of unity, growth, and excellence.

Some of the most important roles within an organization are carried out far away from applause and recognition. Some responsibilities live behind spreadsheets, planning sheets, budget calculations, approvals, coordination calls, and the countless small decisions that quietly determine whether ideas can truly come to life. At LUMUNA, financial responsibility is not simply about numbers, it is about trust, balance, and sustainability.

With great confidence and appreciation, we welcome Sakib Mohammad Jami and Mosiur Rahman Spondon as the Treasurers of the Steering Committee 2025–2026 of the Leading University Model United Nations Association (LUMUNA). Though their journeys within LUMUNA have been different, both have consistently proven themselves through reliability and responsibility.

Sakib Mohammad Jami has always been the kind of person others instinctively rely on during moments that demand responsibility and endurance. Formerly serving as the Recruitment and Retention Secretary of the Steering Committee and later as the Under Secretary-General for Food at LUIMUN 2025, he carried one of the conference’s most demanding operational responsibilities with remarkable dedication. From supervising food preparation late at night to remaining present on campus for extended hours to ensure everything was managed properly, his efforts reflected a level of commitment that often goes unseen. His journey within LUMUNA has consistently reflected reliability, discipline, and a willingness to give more than what is expected.

Alongside him stands Mosiur Rahman Spondon, whose experience and steady contribution have long made him an important part of LUMUNA’s organizational foundation. Having previously served as the Co-Treasurer of the Steering Committee 2024–2025, he already carries valuable experience in managing financial responsibilities within the association. In addition, his role as an Under Secretary-General at LUIMUN 2025 further reflected his capability to handle responsibilities with organization, composure, and accountability.

Together, they now take on a role that demands not only management, but accountability. As Treasurers, they will help safeguard the financial stability that supports every initiative, every event, and every ambition LUMUNA strives to achieve. Their appointment reflects the confidence the organization places in their judgment, integrity, and dedication.

Congratulations to Sakib Mohammad Jami and Mosiur Rahman Spondon on beginning this new chapter as the Treasurers of the Steering Committee 2025–2026. May their stewardship strengthen the foundation upon which LUMUNA continues to grow, create, and inspire.

In appreciation of their consistent contribution and proven capability in their previous responsibilities, they are hereby appointed as the Joint General Secretaries of Leading University Model United Nations Association (LUMUNA), Steering Committee 2025–2026.

During their earlier tenure within the association, they demonstrated remarkable commitment, reliability, and initiative in carrying out assigned duties. Their active involvement in organisational work, problem-solving mindset, and collaborative spirit significantly contributed to the efficiency and development of the association.

Hamza Al Ahram handled difficult crisis moments with calmness and maturity while also overseeing member recruitment throughout the year with dedication. Pritom Ranjam Dash has always been a major support for the club, especially in managing financial responsibilities with sincerity and care. Md. Abdullah Al Tashdid may have stayed away from the spotlight, but behind the scenes he worked tirelessly, managing important documentation and organisational tasks efficiently. Afi Shahrin Adib has been another deeply devoted member of LUMUNA, always contributing with commitment and sincerity whenever needed. Samia Ahmed Saki has been one of the strongest pillars of the club, known for her hardworking nature, excellent management skills, and constant support for juniors during conferences and club activities. Please join us in congratulating the Joint General Secretaries of LUMUNA Steering Committee 2025–2026. We look forward to a more organized, inclusive, and impactful journey ahead under their continued contribution and leadership.

Behind every successful organization stands a group of individuals who know how to turn plans into action, maintain order in the middle of chaos, and ensure that every responsibility is carried out with care. Their work often happens quietly behind the scenes, yet it becomes the foundation upon which every successful event and activity is built. This year, we are proud to introduce the Organising Secretaries of Leading University Model United Nations Association Steering Committee 2025–2026.

Nusrat Jahan Nilom has always stood by LUMUNA whenever the club needed support, showing dedication and sincerity in every responsibility. Humaira Begum quietly contributed through decoration and event preparation, adding creativity and care behind the scenes. Riazul Islam Rumon handled his responsibilities with discipline, especially during conferences where he efficiently maintained transportation schedules. Jonmojoy Paul Jibon has always been present whenever the club needed help, supporting the team with reliability and commitment. Sabyasachi Das is known for his cooperative nature and willingness to help others whenever needed. Pritom Dash contributed significantly through documentation work and by assisting with accommodation management during conferences. Anmesha Purkayastha consistently worked to ensure quality and maintain standards in every task she took on. Ehsan Siddiqi has always been devoted to the club, contributing actively whenever support was required. Tahmid Ali Shahi served as a strong pillar of support in ensuring safety, security, and discipline during events and conferences.

Together, these individuals represent responsibility, teamwork, discipline, and dedication. They have already proven their ability to manage responsibilities with efficiency and care, and now they step into the role of Organising Secretaries to strengthen the operational backbone of the association even further. Their leadership, coordination, and commitment will play a vital role in ensuring that every activity of LUMUNA moves forward with structure, professionalism, and unity.

Please join us in congratulating the Organising Secretaries of LUMUNA Steering Committee 2025–2026. With their dedication and teamwork, we look forward to another year of successful initiatives, stronger coordination, and continued excellence.
