Before you teach letters to your children you should introduce them to sounds.
So many adults struggle with spellings and pronunciation because they do not know phonetics.
We teach our kids 5 vowels but not their sounds.
✅Introduce sound first. Help them make words or identify words with those sounds.
✅ Next introduce them with letters. Let them play with letters buy them plastic letters or let them draw letters in sand. Now that they know the sound let them feel the physical appearance of that sound.
✅ Don’t read out words to them, make the sounds and let them make out the word.
💻 Now with online learning there are so many platforms on which you can access lessons and teach phonetics if phonetics lessons aren’t available in your schools.
As parents it’s our responsibility to ensure right education for our children.

When you pray and tell your Lord your deepest fear ask for things you desire, what language do you use?
Be proud of that language, that is your identity, that is the part of you that is still in its purest form.
Celebrate mother language, native language, local languages, celebrate language that speaks your heart 💖
