The session featured an insightful discussion on industrial process safety, practical tools, and real-world applications in high-risk process industries, enriched by valuable professional perspectives. We were honored to host Mohammad Hasan Mahmud Shanto, GP Operation Specialist, Chevron Bangladesh (Bibiyana Gas Plant), whose industry experience greatly contributed to the success of the session.

The SUST Student Chapter of AIChE proudly announces a specialized technical webinar titled “Gasification of Residual Biomass: A Simulation-Based Decarbonization Strategy," focusing on advanced simulation approaches for sustainable energy systems.

This session will explore residual biomass gasification as a promising route to sustainable energy, with a focus on simulation-based process modeling, optimization techniques, and strategies for reducing carbon emissions. The discussion will integrate both theoretical foundations and practical applications relevant to modern energy and process industries.

We are honored to host Professor Dr. Mohammad Rakib Uddin, a distinguished faculty member of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Polymer Science (CEP), Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).
