English Department started its journey as a full-fledged department at Khwaja Yunus Ali University in 2012.

Among other facilities, the department has 7 full-time and 1 adjunct faculty member.

On this 11th of September 2025, we bow our hearts in reverence to the cherished memory of our beloved founder, Dr. M. M. Amjad Hussain Sir. His departure reminds us that great souls never truly leave; they live on through the values they planted and the light they ignited in countless lives. 🌹

In this very spirit, we take pride in celebrating the achievement of our 13th batch student, Mst. Fatema Jannatun Nahar, who has been honored with the “Dr. M. M. Amjad Hussain Award” this year. 🏅

Sir’s legacy is not confined to history; it is a living flame. His contributions shall remain timeless, and this award in his name will forever inspire our students to walk with wisdom, humility, and unwavering purpose. 🌟

Congratulations to Mr. Sozib Hosen, Assistant Professor, Department of English, KYAU for being appointed as an Assistant Proctor of KYAU on May 8, 2025.

As he steps into this new administrative role, we are confident that he will continue to serve the university community with integrity, responsibility and a strong commitment to student development.

We wish him the best of luck as he embarks on hid new role as Assistant Proctor.
