Simple, Complex নাকি Compound—কোনটা দেখলেই কীভাবে Interchange করবেন?

১. Hard Work
Simple: By working hard, you will succeed.
Complex: If you work hard, you will succeed.
Compound: Work hard and you will succeed.
২. Without Hard Work
Simple: Without working hard, you will not succeed.
Complex: If you do not work hard, you will not succeed.
Compound: Work hard or you will not succeed.
৩. কারণ বোঝাতে
Simple: Because of his honesty, he was rewarded.
Complex: Since he was honest, he was rewarded.
Compound: He was honest and so he was rewarded.
৪. যদিও / Despite
Simple: In spite of his poverty, he is happy.
Complex: Although he is poor, he is happy.
Compound: He is poor but he is happy.
৫. Too...to
Simple: He is too weak to walk.
Complex: He is so weak that he cannot walk.
Compound: He is very weak and he cannot walk.
৬. উদ্দেশ্য বোঝাতে
Simple: We study hard to make a good result.
Complex: We study hard so that we can make a good result.
Compound: We want to make a good result and so we study hard.
৭. কাজ শেষ করে
Simple: Finishing the work, I went to bed.
Complex: When I finished the work, I went to bed.
Compound: I finished the work and went to bed.
৮. Having + V³
Simple: Having gone there, I met him.
Complex: After I had gone there, I met him.
Compound: I had gone there and met him.
৯. Cause & Effect
Simple: Because of his studying hard, he got GPA-5.
Complex: As he studied hard, he got GPA-5.
Compound: He studied hard and so he got GPA-5.
১০. Imperative Sentence
Simple: By studying hard, you will prosper in life.
Complex: If you study hard, you will prosper in life.
Compound: Study hard and you will prosper in life.
১১. Negative Condition
Simple: Without practicing English, you cannot be proficient in English.
Complex: If you do not practice English, you cannot be proficient in English.
Compound: Practice English or you cannot be proficient in English.
১২. Relative Clause
Simple: The boy running fast is my brother.
Complex: The boy who is running fast is my brother.
Compound: The boy is running fast and he is my brother.
১৩. Poor but Honest
Simple: In spite of his poverty, he is honest.
Complex: Although he is poor, he is honest.
Compound: He is poor but he is honest.
১৪. Working Hard
Simple: Working hard, he succeeded in life.
Complex: As he worked hard, he succeeded in life.
Compound: He worked hard and succeeded in life.
১৫. Time বোঝাতে
Simple: At the age of twelve, he came to school.
Complex: When he was twelve, he came to school.
Compound: He was twelve and he came to school.
মনে রাখুন:
Simple = এক clause-এর কাঠামো
Complex = Principal + Subordinate Clause
Compound = দুই বা ততোধিক Independent Clause
