A Celebration of Global Learning and Cultural Exchange
The collaboration between Grade 3 learners of Prometheus School, India, and Smart Innovations School, Dhaka, Bangladesh blossomed into a vibrant cultural exchange that felt almost magical.
Students from both schools showcased the strength of collaborative learning as they exchanged traditions, ideas, and stories. One of the most exciting highlights was the costume presentation by the students of Prometheus, where they described the cultural significance of the various states of India, with confidence and pride. This sparked lively question-answer sessions, revealing their curiosity and growing intercultural understanding.
SIS students spoke about the brief history Bangladesh's independence, language movement and cultural elements with clarity/. They also recited poems and sang folk songs that carried the rhythm of Bangladeshi heritage. Their PPT presentation on the elements of culture and the inquiry journey of their unit demonstrated strong research, communication, and conceptual understanding.
The most emotional moment came at the end, when both groups stood proudly and sang their national anthemsโvoices full of love, respect, and unity. It set the tone for a session rooted in shared humanity. The collaboration not only strengthened communication and social skills but also nurtured empathy, open-mindedness, and global citizenshipโproving that when young minds connect, learning becomes a bridge across borders.
Thank you Monica Garg for the initiative.
We are looking forward to have more collaboration with Prometheus School

Exploration in Action Learning About Where We Are in Place and Time
Our Grade 2 learners have been on an exciting journey through their unit Where We Are in Place and Time. They explored the idea of how people discover new places, ideas and experiences, and learned about well known explorers such as Marco Polo and Christopher Columbus. Their stories of travel and discovery helped students understand how exploration has shaped our world.
The children investigated many forms of exploration. They looked at land and water journeys, space travel, scientific discoveries, cultural exploration and even the digital world. They were fascinated by how astronauts reach space, how scientists study new ideas and how people explore different cultures and lands across the globe.
To make the learning experience meaningful, students worked together to create a large class poster. They matched pictures and drawings to the correct type of exploration. Astronauts and rockets were placed under Space Exploration and boats and sea creatures were placed under Water Exploration. This collaborative task encouraged careful thinking, creativity and teamwork.
The students enjoyed discussing the adventures of explorers and deciding where each picture belonged. Through this unit, they developed a deeper understanding of exploration, its purpose and the curiosity that drives people to learn more about the world.
It has been inspiring to watch them question, reflect and collaborate as they discovered more about our place and time.

Every home has a story, and this week our young learners discovered that the most meaningful parts of a home are the feelings that hold it together. As part of our Unit of Inquiry, Where We Are in Place and Time, our central idea came to life as students explored how emotional bonds shape the elements of houses and homes.
Focusing on the big idea of homes, our KG students went beyond the physical structure to inquire into what really gives a home its identity. They learned that peace, safety, love and connection are the true foundations of every home. In true IB spirit, they demonstrated agency, communication skills and reflective thinking as they made sense of their learning.
As a part of taking action, the students took the initiative to present their understanding in the school assembly. They created thoughtful posters on peace and safety in the home, using colours, drawings and meaningful messages to express how simple actions such as listening to one another, sharing responsibilities, speaking kindly and offering support can create a peaceful and secure environment.
During the assembly, our young inquirers confidently shared what we can do to build peace at home by showing respect, being patient and solving problems calmly. They also explained how we can make our homes safe by being responsible, staying aware and caring for ourselves and others. Their presentations reflected creativity, empathy and a growing awareness of how emotional connections help shape our daily lives.
It was a warm and inspiring celebration of learning, togetherness and the importance of nurturing the bonds that make every home special.

Grade 5 Inquirers Discover How a Supermarket Works
Our Grade 5 learners had an exciting and insightful field trip to Unimart as part of their Unit of Inquiry, โHow We Organize Ourselves.โ This real world experience allowed students to investigate how businesses operate and how products and services are organized to meet customer needs.
During the visit, students explored and learned about:
Products and Qualities
They observed a wide range of items and compared different qualities, brands, and price points to understand what makes a product more expensive or affordable.
Pricing Differences
Students learned why prices vary based on quality, brand value, production cost, and customer demand.
Offers and Promotions
They discovered seasonal discounts, Buy One Get One Free offers, bundle packs, and special promotions that attract customers and influence buying decisions.
Seasonal Products and Seasonal Corners
Students explored dedicated sections for seasonal items such as winter essentials, festive decorations, and gift sets. They learned how supermarkets plan and organize these corners to respond to customer needs at specific times of the year.
Eco Friendly Products and Packaging
Students noticed eco friendly packaging, reusable bags, biodegradable items, and sustainable choices. They discussed why businesses are increasingly adopting environmentally responsible practices.
Authentic and Copied Products
By observing labels, packaging quality, and pricing, students learned how to identify original versus imitation products and why authenticity is important.
Understanding Price Tags
They practised reading different price labels, unit prices, and comparing value to make informed purchasing decisions.
Home Delivery Services
Students learned how supermarkets now offer home delivery, online ordering, and doorstep services to provide convenience to customers.
Payment Systems
They explored the different payment methods used in modern retail including cash, cards, mobile banking, and digital wallets.
This hands on field experience strengthened their inquiry skills, observation skills, and decision making while helping them understand how businesses organise systems, services, and customer experiences.

Investigating Sentences: Our Grade 2 Writers in Action
Our young inquirers investigated Sentence Structure, focusing on the Subject + Verb + Object (SVO) pattern. Students explored how to identify the subject, the action (verb), and the object in a sentence as part of constructing meaning in language.
Working in pairs, students engaged with mixed word cards, classifying and arranging them to build clear and meaningful SVO sentences. Through this hands-on inquiry, they tested their thinking, discussed possibilities, and refined their understanding.
To consolidate their learning, each pair selected one correctly formed SVO sentence and added it to our collaborative class chart, creating a colourful display of shared knowledge.
The lesson was interactive, inquiry-driven, and supported peer collaborationโhelping learners deepen their understanding of sentence structure while developing communication and thinking skills.

Reflection on Mind Map Activity โ Nursery
As part of our ongoing unit "Where We Are in Place and Time," our Nursery learners engaged in a mind map activity to explore the idea of family.
This activity served as a wonderful opportunity for the children to reflect on their personal lives and begin forming a deeper understanding of family structure and relationships. Each child enthusiastically shared who is in their family, using words, pictures, and drawings. It was heartwarming to see how confidently they spoke about their parents, siblings, grandparents, and even pets!
Through this process, children began to make connections between their own experiences and those of their classmates. They discovered that every family is unique, and they showed curiosity and empathy when listening to one another.
This activity supported communication and social skills, built vocabulary, and encouraged children to express their thoughts with pride. It also laid the foundation for deeper inquiries into personal history, culture, and identity as the unit progresses.

Kindergarten Explorers Unlock the Secrets of the Seasons
What an exciting start to our learning journey as our kindergarten explorers stepped into the magical world of changing seasons!
As we launched our new Unit of Inquiry, โHow the World Works,โ our young learners dived into an engaging exploration of the four seasons. We began with a cheerful ice-breaking activity, encouraging children to share what they already know about weather, nature, and the world around them. Their curiosity grew as they watched a lively video on the seasons, followed by thought-provoking questions such as: โWhy does every season look different?โ and โWhy do our accessories and even the food we eat change in every season?โ These questions helped our young thinkers connect daily life to the natural world.
To explore their prior knowledge, students eagerly sorted season flash cards, identifying clues like clothing, colours, and activities. The excitement continued as children reached into our mystery box, pulled out pictures representing different seasons, and confidently explained the hints that helped them decide. Rich conversations emerged as they asked each other questions and compared their ideas.
Finally, the class collaborated to sequence the seasons in the correct order, realising that the year follows a repeating pattern just like a storybook. Through play, inquiry, and hands-on exploration, our kindergarten inquirers began to understand how the world worksโhow nature changes, how our choices change with it, and how the cycle of seasons shapes our everyday lives.

KG: Discovering the World Through Seasons
Exploring the Magic of Seasons
In our Unit of Inquiry on Seasons, the classroom blossomed with colour, curiosity, and imagination. Students dove into the wonders of how our world changesโfrom warm sunshine to cool breezes, and from gentle showers to roaring monsoon rains.
With thoughtful observation, they sorted seasonal words and matched them to pictures that showed bright summer days, snowy winter moments, blossoming spring scenes, and the refreshing rhythm of the monsoon season. Each word became a key that unlocked a deeper understanding of natureโs cycles.
Their creativity shone even brighter as they used colourful paper cutouts to create their own seasonsโfrom dripping raindrops and swirling clouds to blooming flowers and glowing sunny skies. Every artwork reflected not just what they see, but what they feel in each season.
As they worked together, they talked, wondered, questioned, and shared ideas. Their creations became a joyful celebration of how nature changes and how their thinking grows right along with it.
