🚀 Cloud Route : Going Serverless with Azure Functions 🚀

ক্লাউড কম্পিউটিং প্রযুক্তি সম্পর্কে আমরা সকলেই কমবেশি অবগত । গবেষণা থেকে শুরু করে টেক স্টার্টাপ সবক্ষেত্রেই এর ব্যবহার দিনদিন বেড়েই চলেছে।
Azure Functions হলো মাইক্রোসফটের Azure Cloud এর serverless service, যার মাধ্যমে সীমিত খরচ,পরিশ্রম ও অল্পসল্প কোডিং করে নিমিষেই serverless solution ডেভেলপমেন্ট করা সম্ভব।

জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীদের ক্লাউড কম্পিউটিংয়ের জনপ্রিয়তা বৃদ্ধি করতে Microsoft Learn Student Ambassadors - JU একটি স্পেশাল ওয়ার্কশপ নিয়ে আসছে, যেখানে হাতে-কলমে ক্লাউড প্রোজেক্ট ডেভেলপ আর সার্ভারলেস এনভারনমেন্টে ডেপ্লয়মেন্ট দেখানো হবে।

ইভেন্টে স্পিকার হিসেবে থাকবেন JU Computer Club এর প্রাক্তন প্রেসিডেন্ট Md Shoaib Ahmed ও বর্তমান ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট Anjum Rashid.

ওয়ার্কশপ শেষে থাকছে একটি সপ্তাহব্যপী Builders Challenge । যারা ওয়ার্কশপ ও চ্যালেঞ্জে অংশগ্রহণ করবে, তাদের প্রত্যেককে Azure Student Subscription দেয়া হবে। এই সাবস্ক্রিপশনের মাধ্যমে ১০০$ ক্রেডিট এবং অসংখ্য ক্লাউড সার্ভিসের এক্সেস পাওয়া যাবে,যার মধ্যে বেশকিছু পপুলার সার্ভিস (যেমন Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes, Service Fabric etc. ) একদম ফ্রি!

💡Discord কি?

🔸প্যান্ডেমিকে যে কয়টা সফটওয়্যার কোম্পানি খুব জনপ্রিয়তা পেয়েছে তাদের মধ্যে অন্যতম Discord Inc.
মার্চ ২০২১ এর দিকে Microsoft ১০ বিলিয়ন ডলারে Discord কে কেনার প্রস্তাব দিয়েছিল। তাদের সেই বিডিং বেড়ে দাড়ায় ১২ বিলিয়ন ডলার। Bloomberg এর সূত্রমতে গত মাসে Discord অথোরিটি ১২ বিলিয়ন ডলারের সেই বিড নাকচ করে দিয়েছে।
🔸Discord এপটি অফিশিয়ালি ২০১৫ সালের মে মাসে রিলিজ হয়। তখন এটির মূল উদ্দেশ্য ছিল ডেস্কটপ গেইমাররা যেন অনলাইন গেইম খেলার সময় একটা কমন সার্ভারে ভয়েস কলে যুক্ত থাকতে পারেন।

🔸 Discord এ বিভিন্ন কমিউনিটি গ্রুপকে “Server” বলা হয়, যেখানে Text, voice এবং video এর জন্য আলাদা আলাদা চ্যানেল থাকে। বর্তমানে প্রফেশনাল গেমার কমিউনিটি ছাড়াও বিভিন্ন স্টার্ট-আপ কোম্পানি এবং ফ্রিল্যান্সিং ফার্ম তাদের অফিশিয়াল কমিউনিকেশনে Discord Server ব্যবহার করে।

💡কেন Discord ব্যবহার করবো?

⚡ একটা ফেসবুক গ্রুপে বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়ে পোস্ট হয়। সবার সকল বিষয়ে আগ্রহ নাও থাকতে পারে। আবার অনেক সময় গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রিসোর্স পিন করে না রাখলে হারিয়ে যায়।
⚡ Discord সার্ভারগুলাতে প্রতিটা বিষয়ের জন্য আলাদা করে টেক্সট চ্যানেল থাকে যেখানে ওই টপিক নিয়ে আপনি অন্য কমিউনিটি মেম্বারদের সাথে আলোচনা করতে পারবেন। গুরুত্বপূর্ণ এবং রিসোর্সফুল পোস্টগুলার জন্য আলাদা চ্যানেল তৈরি করা যায়।
⚡ যারা পাইথন প্রোগ্রামার তাদের জন্য একটা মজার ব্যাপার হল, Discord Bot বানানোর জন্যে পাইথনের একটা আলাদা প্যাকেজ আছে। discord.py নামে। Hero Programmers সার্ভারে কাজ করতে গিয়ে দেখেছি ক্লাস সিক্স সেভেনের ছেলেরা কি সুন্দর চ্যাট বট বানাচ্ছে Server এর জন্য।
⚡ Discord একটা ক্রস প্ল্যাটফর্ম VoIP, Instant Messaging Software অর্থাৎ, জনপ্রিয় অপারেটিং সিস্টেম windows-GNU/Linux-MacOS এবং Android-iOS সবগুলা প্ল্যাটফর্মেই আপনি এই App ব্যবহার করতে পারবেন।
⚡ আমার মতে যারা একটু প্রোডাক্টিভ সোশাল মিডিয়া খুঁজছেন তাদের জন্য Discord একটা ভালো প্ল্যাটফর্ম হতে পারে।

First ten days of Ramadan are the days of Mercy and blessing and every Muslim must seek the Mercy and Blessings of Almighty Allah.

Ramadan isn’t only about fasting, it is abstinence from every lust and sin. It is the month of blessings, forgiveness, mercy, and freedom from the hellfire. On this holy month, make lots of dua, increase doing good deeds, wear masks and wash your hands so that may we all overcome this pandemic situation.

For the mass-adoption of modern technologies, JU Computer Club has been fulfilling the thirst of tech-enthusiast people from the campus and beyond.

Last year, amidst the pandemic, it organized webinars and online skill-sessions nonchalantly to help grow the members and all the people out there during the tough times.

The activities ranged from higher studies preparation in countries such as Estonia, Canada and USA to essential beginner trainings in Python, Git, GitHub, LaTeX and many more! In addition, it brought out write-up series on global institution programs through the publications team and launched Associates Program on the campus as well.

It wasn’t easy to come this far without the love, help and support from all of our members, well-wishers, faculties, advisors and distant peers.

With the conclusion of our splendid journey of four years, we embark on the advent of the fifth with even more vibrance and inspiration! We encourage everyone take part in the virtual celebration of 4th Anniversary of JU Computer Club and stay connected with us as always. 🥳

Like a small boat on the ocean, JU Computer Club first started its journey in 2017 sending big waves into motion. Since the inception of the club by Shoaib Ahmed Mehrab from JU CSE 43rd batch, we have successfully arranged more than 50 seminars, workshops, tech talks, programs, campaigns, projects and collaboration events.

The COVID-19 pandemic is the defining global health crisis of our time and one of the greatest challenges we have faced since World War II and even in the middle of such an ongoing global pandemic, we have managed to keep our club activities smooth and progressively operative.

Since the pandemic hit our country, we have shifted all our club activities virtually. From the mentorship of club executive members to conducting effective and consistent skill sessions, we have done it all with the help of an actively enthusiastic hard-working managing team!
In the meantime, we also took part in celebrations such as last year’s 3rd JU Computer Club Anniversary, Freshers Reception and kept our youth-engaging opportunities up and running by recruiting outreach and technical associates from the campus.

We are beyond ecstatic about being able to successfully create a tech community with the goal of turning imaginations consisting of innovative ideas into reality and inspiring all around!

Here’s to another year of successful interactive tech community engagement and prosperity!

অনেক রক্ত আর ত্যাগের বিনিময়ে আমরা পেয়েছি এই স্বাধীনতা। স্বাধীনতার সুবর্ণ জয়ন্তীতে আমাদের সকলকে সেই ত্যাগের বিনিময়ে পাওয়া স্বাধীনতাকে রক্ষা করার জন্যে একযোগে কাজ করে যেতে হবে।
সেই ত্যাগী দেশপ্রেমিকদের স্বরণ করে, আসুন, সুস্থ এবং নিরাপদ থেকে দেশমাতৃকার এই মযার্দাপূর্ণ দিনটি শ্রদ্ধার সাথে পালন করি।
