We are pleased to announce that the first batch of our Basic and Intermediate Level Training Courses on Geospatial Data Analysis and Management at the Institute of Remote Sensing and GIS (IRS), Jahangirnagar University, has been successfully completed.

This program, supported by the EDGE Project (BCC) and certified by ESRI Bangladesh, brought together enthusiastic learners to build strong foundations and advanced skills in GIS, remote sensing, spatial analysis, and geospatial applications.

Following this success, we are now moving on to the second batch to further expand capacity in geospatial technologies among students and young professionals in Bangladesh.

The students of the Institute of Remote Sensing and GIS proudly participated in the Inter-Departmental Cricket Tournament 2025–26 held in January 2026.

The Institute of Remote Sensing and GIS (IRS), Jahangirnagar University is pleased to invite original research articles, reviews, short communications, and technical notes for the 2nd Volume of the Jahangirnagar University Journal of Geospatial Sciences (JGS).
JGS is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to showcasing high-quality research in geospatial sciences, geoinformatics, environmental monitoring, spatial modelling, and related fields. Submissions are welcome from researchers, academics, professionals, and postgraduate students.
