"August comes,
Reminds of nation's Father
Greenfield still holds the fresh blood! "

- Adeeb Al-Fateh

Bangladesh was lost in August. Bangladesh fell asleep in August. The beauty of Bangladesh had faded in August. Because 15th August is the day of national mourning. It’s a day when all beings of the whole Bengal, even nature drop tears. Because, this day of August, back in 1975 it seemed like this rainy August and brutal bloodshed of Bangabandhu were the representation of the weeping of the sky itself crying out of extreme grievance.

Martyred souls of the dark night:

The self-confessed killers of August 15 did not assassinate Bangabandhu alone but also killed 16 other members of his family, friends, and relatives.

The martyrs included Bangabandhu's wife Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib, his sons Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Jamal, and Sheikh Russell, daughters-in-law Sultana Kamal and Rosy Jamal, brother Sheikh Naser, brother-in-law Abdur Rab Serniabat, nephew and eminent journalist Sheikh Fazlul Huq Moni, his pregnant wife Arzoo Moni and Colonel Jami.

Both of the daughters of Bangabandhu were not present during the massacre. Elder daughter Sheikh Hasina went to Europe with her husband and they also took her younger sister Sheikh Rehana along.

The Dream that Led, Shattered to Pieces:

The aim of his Second Revolution was to materialize his dream of "Sonar Bangla". He also provided specific plans for mobilizing the country's intellectual, cultural and economic resources to achieve the objectives of the revolution. Notable Among them are :
★Ameliorating poverty,
★Eliminating corruption,
★Resisting the anti-liberation and extremist forces and their conspiracy against the country,
★Substantially increasing agricultural output to provide food for everyone,
★New education system.
In the three and half years of Bangabandhu's rule, a number of plans were put into action which helped check the economic downslide and bring the economy back on its feet.

Within a few months of the launching of the Revolution, however, Bangabandhu was brutally assassinated, and all his policies and programs including his blueprint for the revolution were scrapped.
A Bangladesh free of bribery and corruption, a Bangladesh free of all injustices, prejudices, and religious differences, whose thoughts are poisoned, gave birth to the cruel history of August. August, the month of stealing a dream, the dream of a Bengali died at the hands of those foolish robbers. That innocent face will never be lost from the shadow of the earth.

Let grief be a strength :

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina has been relentlessly working to materialize Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's dream and vision of 'Shonar Bangla'. In sha Allah Soon It will be accomplished under her firm & bold leadership.

Conclusion :

Bangabandhu might have been killed physically but his soul is immortal. He lives eternally. Because he is the visionary and the architect of a Nation-state. As long as this country exists, he will exist immortally. So let's say together with the poet Rajwan Ahmed,

"You gifted us an independent Bangladesh,
Nation acknowledges it,
You are our Golden leader,
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman
