Cantonment Public School and College, Saidpur is situated at the North-east corner of Saidpur Cantonment, a little distant from the din and bustle of busy Saidpur town. In 1979 some encouraging and patronizing officers of Saidpur Cantonment felt necessity to have a modernized and progressive educational institution in this region. Being encouraged with this motto, the then station commander Col SM

Shamsuzzaman took all possible constant endeavours with the help of some elite and patronizing army officers to establish a renowned educational institution both for children of the armed forces and the people of this region. Thus Cantonment Public School and College, Saidpur was established on 4th April, 1979 taking two officers’ bungalows as school campus with 156 students and 10 teachers. After the accomplishment of the ground floor of the present School building in the year 1982, the School had been shifted in its present location from the officers’ bungalows. The first floor of this School building was completed in 1985. In 1984 the people of the region saw another revolution in the field of education. The revolution was the inauguration of College Section in this institution. With the inauguration of the college section, the long-cherished dream of the people of North-Bengal for having a well-disciplined college was implemented. Like school section, college section also started achieving brightest results in the public examinations. With the passage of time for the children of armed forces personnel and the people of the region, it was felt necessary to establish an English Medium School in this backward area, as there was no English Medium School to teach English effectively. Understanding this need of the people, the authority of this institution took the necessary step and opened English Medium Section in 1997. Since then it is also functioning well.

প্রতিষ্ঠানের বিভিন্ন উন্নয়নমূলক কর্মকান্ড:
১। শ্রেণিকক্ষ বর্ধিতকরণ: স্কুল
ভবনের পূর্ব ও পশ্চিম
দিকে চারতলা ভিত্তির উপর
দু’টি করে চারটি শ্রেণিকক্ষ
নির্মাণ করে শ্রেণিকক্ষের
সম্প্রসারণের
মাধ্যমে প্রতিষ্ঠানের কলেবর
বৃদ্ধি করা হচ্ছে।
২। শ্রেণিভিত্তিক রংকরণ:
শ্রেণিকক্ষগুলোকে
শ্রেণিভিত্তিক পৃথক রংকরণের
মাধ্যমে আকর্ষণীয় ও দৃষ্টিনন্দন
করা হয়েছে। এছাড়াও
শ্রেণি উপযোগী ছবি একে
শিক্ষার্থীদের নিকট
শ্রেণিকক্ষগুলোকে চিত্তাকর্ষক
করে তোলা হয়েছে।
৩। ক্যান্টিন সংস্কার:
শিক্ষার্থীদের
যুগোপযোগী মানসম্মত ও
স্বাস্থ্যকর পরিবেশে খাওয়ার
জন্য ক্যান্টিনের সম্প্রসারণ
করা হয়েছে এবং টাইলস্
ফিটিংসের মাধ্যমে সৌন্দর্য ও
নান্দনিকতা সৃষ্টি করা হয়েছে।
৪। সিসি ক্যামেরা স্থাপন :
প্রতিষ্ঠানের সার্বিক
শৃঙ্খলা উন্নয়নের
নিমিত্তে বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ
পয়েন্টে সিসি ক্যামেরা
স্থাপনের
মাধ্যমে নিরাপত্তা জোরদার
করা হয়েছে।
৫। কাটাতারের বেড়া :
প্রতিষ্ঠানের পূর্ব পাশের
খেলার মাঠের দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিম
দিকে আরসিসি পিলার
দিয়ে কাটাতারের
বেড়া দিয়ে নিরাপত্তা ব্যবস্থা
আরো জোড়দার হয়েছে।
৬। এসএস গ্রিল উচুকরণ: শহীদ লে:
কর্নেল মনির নতুনকুড়ি ভবনের ২য়,
৩য় ও ৪র্থ তলার এসএস গ্রিল
উচুকরণের
মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীদের
পড়ে যাওয়ার ঝুকি কমানোর
ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে।
৭। সৌন্দর্য বৃদ্ধি :
সীমানা প্রাচীর মেরামত ও
রংকরণের মাধ্যমে প্রতিষ্ঠানের
সৌন্দর্য বৃদ্ধি করা হয়েছে।
৮। ওয়েদার কোট : স্কুল ও কলেজ
ভবন ওয়েদার কোট করা হয়েছে।
৯। পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্নতা :
টয়লেটগুলোকে দুর্গন্ধমুক্ত
করে স্বাস্থ্যকর পরিবেশ
প্রদানের
নিমিত্তে ভেন্টিলেশন
ব্যবস্থা প্রশস্থকরণসহ আধুনিকায়ন
করা হয়েছে।

১৩। বিশেষ
কোচিং : পড়ালেখার মান
উন্নয়নে ইংলিশ (ভার্শন) তৃতীয়
শ্রেণি থেকে অষ্টম
শ্রেণি পর্যন্ত বিশেষ
কোচিং এর
ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে।
১৪। কোচিং এর ব্যবস্থা: ৫ম, ৮ম ,
১০ম ও দ্বাদশ শ্রেণির
শিক্ষার্থীদের বছরের শুরু
থেকে কোচিং এর
ব্যবস্থা করা হয়েছে।
