১. সফটওয়্যার টেস্টিং কি?
সফট্ওয়্যার কোয়ালিটি অ্যাসুরেন্স ও টেস্টিংহচ্ছে Software Engineering এর এমন একটি ধাপ যেখানে একটি সফট্ওয়্যারকে বিভিন্নভাবে নিরীক্ষণ ও পর্যবেক্ষন এর মাধ্যমে দেখা হয় যে এতে কোন ত্রুটি রয়েছে কিনা, যাতে আমরা সফট্ওয়্যারকে যখন কোনও নির্দেশনা দিবো তখন যেন সফল ভাবে পরিচালনা করা সম্ভব হয়।আমরা বলতে পারি যে, Software Quality Assurance and Testing হচ্ছে এমন একটি কার্যক্রম বা প্রক্রিয়া যেখানে সফট্ওয়্যার এর Completeness, Correctness এবং Quality পর্যবেক্ষন করা হয়।
২. সফটওয়্যার টেস্টিং এর চাহিদা ?
বর্তমান সময়ে যেকোন ধরনের সফটওয়্যার সঠিকতার মানদন্ড পর্যবেক্ষন করা ছাড়া বাজারে ছাড়তে চায়না প্রতিষ্ঠান। কারন পূর্বে এসব সঠিকতার মানদন্ড পর্যবেক্ষন না করে ছাড়ার কারনে অনেক প্রতিষ্ঠানের শুনাম ক্ষুন্ন হয়েছে এবং অনেক প্রাণহানির ঘটনা পরিলক্ষিত হয়েছে। তাই আইটি ইন্ডাস্ট্রিতে এখন সফটওয়্যার টেস্টাদের চাহিদা প্রচুর। যেখানে একজন সফটওয়্যার টেস্টিংএ দক্ষ হয়ে খুব সহজেই Test Engineer/QA/SQA/Software Tester/Automation Engineer হিসেবে নিজেকে নিযুক্ত করতে পারেন। পাশাপাশি ফ্রিল্যান্সিং মার্কেটপ্লেসে সফটওয়্যার টেস্টিং এর প্রচুর চাহিদার তুলনায় দক্ষকর্মীর অনেক অভাব। সবদিক বিবেচনায় আইটি ইন্ডাস্ট্রিতে Software Tester দের চাহিদা সবার শির্ষে।

Software Tester Career Levels
Software testing is rough as old a profession as development, and it has a very similar career trajectory to that of the software developer. Here’s how to become a software tester:
Entry Level
Also called Junior Level Software Testers, most people begin at the entry-level. A degree is not required, but those with a BS in computers are given preference, and recent college graduates make up the majority of employees at this level. An associate degree or certification can give a candidate an advantage.
Test Analyst and Senior Test Analyst
To be qualified as a test analyst, companies look primarily at experience, and then education. Certifications may help for some of the more technical testing areas, such as ASP.NET, but are not typically required for these positions. Many companies do not make a distinction between these two positions, and there is not standard for who is qualified as a senior or advanced test analyst. There are also a number of different designations for people in this position, such as QA tester and QA analyst.
Software Test Lead and Manager
Experience is essentially the only thing companies look at for, for this position. For example, roughly two-thirds of all software test managers in the US were only hired after they had reached 10 years of experience. This is primarily because of how much a manager needs to know to properly run the department.

👉Responsibilities:

1. Design, create, write, and execute manual and automated test cases using appropriate relevant quality assurance techniques.

2. Execute test cases (manual and automated) and analyze results, under varying circumstances.

3. Test new and existing features, (integration) and report errors and failures

Maintain complete test documentation (test plan, test cases, and issues found).

4. Report bugs and errors to development teams. Help troubleshoot issues

Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.

5. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

6. Debug failed test cases by analyzing logs and API responses and reporting bugs with details.

7. Designing, implementing, and supporting load/stress testing systems and strategies.

👉Requirements:

1. Experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer, delivering test frameworks, and test tools, working with QA projects and initiatives for apps and web applications.

2. Prior experience in developing automated test scripts for android and IOS and the web is preferred.

3. Prior experience in mobile application load testing.

4. Prior experience in API automation testing.

5. Experience in designing, creating, and executing manual and automated test cases using appropriate relevant quality assurance techniques for apps and web applications.

6. Experience in test case documentation, test environment preparation, and troubleshooting errors.

7. Experience in manual testing with functional, non-functional testing, negative testing, and documenting the testing process.

8. Prior experience in Selenium Webdriver / Robotium / Cypress / Apium will be a plus.

9. Load testing with Jmeter, and Gatling experience is preferred.

10. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and software testing life cycle preferably agile methodologies.
