The Faculty of Education is projected as a training, research, extension and linkage institution concerned with providing educational services to the community. That is why from the Departments of Natural Sciences, Technology, Mathematics and Expression, it is considered necessary to establish links between the different subjects, secretariats and the social institutions of the medium that require it.
It is the function of the University to offer solid theoretical references for research and development, as well as to provide strategies of interaction between theory and practice that strengthen the projects of personal and social growth of the citizens and the resignification of their productions.
At this time, science and technology are constantly innovating, which makes it essential for every citizen to possess a broad scientific and technological culture. This reality supports the ideas for the creation of this Institute, as a space that fosters ethical, critical, creative and positive reflection on the advances of Science, Technology, and Art, in the educational field. The actions that originate and develop in it will aim at the insertion of man in his world and the construction of a sustainable future to favor the well-being of humanity.
The Institute that is proposed, will have as its goal to investigate various topics that make the appropriation of a scientific, technological and artistic culture. It will integrate the various disciplines that converge in any natural and cultural process.
It is intended to create an area of reflection, from which new methodological proposals can be generated for the development of the different curricular areas from research processes and in a permanent interaction of contributions from and for formal and non-formal education.
We propose the application of new concepts, new methods and new techniques within the framework of a comprehensive Education and Communication (E + C) approach that emphasizes the role that educational institutions and the media should play in an interactive manner. In the perception, understanding and assessment that society should have of scientific, technological and artistic culture.
Each of the educational and communicational actions, in the fields of science, technology and the arts, will be articulated and strengthened among themselves, to allow not only a great operational flexibility, but also the simultaneous application of projects concatenated by a comprehensive theme and inclusive of different aspects of culture.
This project is presented as a creative alternative to achieve suitability and effectiveness around the resolution of concrete problems in teaching and learning processes, both in formal and non-formal education. It is a collaborative space for the planning, development and evaluation of educational innovation processes, allowing research, development and dissemination of scientific, technological and artistic knowledge and its advances in current culture.
The Institute will be the area for the formation of work groups that encourage the linkage and development with environmental institutions to collaborate to achieve the quality of education through training in science, technology and art, an urgent need of our current society. Generate and consolidate a qualified communication field for the development of research, education and scientific, technological and artistic dissemination, as an interactive educational laboratory.
Promote the generation of educational innovation projects with the use of new technologies.
To form interdisciplinary work teams for the development of educational research and innovation projects.
Make available to teachers and graduates the resources and information necessary for the development of educational innovations that allow them to improve their teaching practice and the link with the environment.
Encourage exchange with other faculties and/or provincial, regional, national and international educational institutions that share studies in these areas.
Advise educational institutions and/or teachers of the environment that require it on aspects of their teaching and research activities in science, arts and technology.
Collaborate with the pre and postgraduate teaching of the faculty in the subjects and/or careers that require it on topics of the area of responsibility.
Organize complementary activities such as seminars, conferences, courses, workshops and conferences to promote educational innovations and thus collaborate in the improvement of education, optimizing existing resources.
