The Department of Chemical and Food Process Engineering has started its journey under the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at RUET in 2015. in Chemical and Food Process Engineering . The courses are developed within the modern concepts of Chemical Engineering and Food Process Engineering education with due emphasis on the industrial requirements in the country. The goal of this department is to prepare its graduates to cope up with an academic specialization aimed specifically at jobs in the food industries as well as in pharmaceuticals; design and construction firms; pulp and paper, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, polymers production companies; biotechnological concerns, and environmental health and safety industries.

🏭 Industrial Visit: Akij Food & Beverage Ltd. (AFBL)
The Chemical Engineering Department (ChE '22 Series) successfully completed an insightful industrial visit to Akij Food & Beverage Ltd. (AFBL). Prior to entering the facility, students were equipped with full personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety aprons, shoe covers and head caps in line with strict industrial safety standards. The tour provided a hands on look at the pulp processing outline, where we observed the complete aseptic mango pulp production technology in real time. This experience offered our students valuable practical exposure to large scale bio process design and plant hygiene control. We thank the AFBL engineering and management team for facilitating this educational experience!

Key Responsibilities:

Perform activities for APIs commercial-scale production following quality policy and regulatory requirements.
