রাজশাহীতে শিক্ষকদের মানসিক স্বাস্থ্য সচেতনতার উদ্দেশ্যে আমেরিকান কর্নার রাজশাহী এবং সাইকিউর অর্গানাইজেশনের যৌথ উদ্যোগে " স্ট্রেস ম্যানেজমেন্ট" বিষয়ে একটি ওয়ার্কশপ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বরেন্দ্র বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাননীয় প্রো-ভিসি, প্রফেসর ড. আশিক মোসাদ্দেক।
তিনি আশা প্রকাশ করেন বর্তমান সময়ের দাবীকে মাথায় রেখে বরেন্দ্র বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ভবিষ্যতে মানসিক স্বাস্থ্য কর্ণার প্রতিষ্ঠার উদ্যোগ নিবে।

ওয়ার্কশপটি সঞ্চালনা করেন, আমেরিকান কর্নার রাজশাহীর কো-অর্ডিনেটর- ফাহমিদা আক্তার এবং পরিচালনা করেন- রাজশাহী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মনোবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের সহকারী অধ্যাপক সাদেকা বানু। তিনি আমাদের দৈনন্দিন জীবন স্ট্রেসের উৎস, স্ট্রেস ম্যানেজমেন্ট, রিলাক্সেশন এবং মেডিটেশন নিয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করেন। সেখানে প্রশ্নোত্তর পর্বে শিক্ষকরা তাঁদের প্রশ্ন রাখেন।

পরিশেষে, US Alumni রাবিতা রেজওয়ানা, সহকারী অধ্যাপক, আইন ও মানবাধিকার বিভাগ, বরেন্দ্র বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, অনুষ্ঠানে তাঁর অভিজ্ঞতা শেয়ার করেন।

ওয়ার্কশপটি ২৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি বিকাল ৩টায় আমেরিকান কর্ণার রাজশাহীতে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। যেখানে স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত উপস্থিতি ছিল বরেন্দ্র বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিভিন্ন বিভাগের প্রায় ৩০ জন শিক্ষক।

We are very excited to let you know that in celebration of Black History Month, 2022 Education USA Bangladesh is conducting an essay competition. It will be really helpful if you can share the topics of the essays with your students and encourage them to participate. The winner will get an exciting prize.

Students can choose any one of these below topics that they find interesting to write an essay on.

"What is Black History Month and why do we celebrate it?"

Or

"Please reflect on the life and legacy of a Black American scholar, activist, writer, innovator, or changemaker who inspires you."

Guidelines:
1. Undergraduate students (aged between 15-17 years) are encouraged to participate.
2. The word limit of the essay has to be between 300-500.
3. The essay should include an introduction, the main body, and a concluding paragraph.
