১৯৫২ সালের ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি (৮ই ফাল্গুন, ১৩৫৮) বাংলা ভাষাকে রাষ্ট্রভাষা করার দাবিতে আন্দোলনরত ছাত্রদের ওপর তৎকালীন পূর্ব পাকিস্তানে পুলিশের নির্বিচার গুলিবর্ষণে রফিক, সালাম, বরকত, জব্বার, শফিউলসহ নাম না জানা বহু বীর শহীদ তাঁদের প্রাণ উৎসর্গ করেন। তাঁদের আত্মত্যাগের বিনিময়ে আমরা অর্জন করেছি মাতৃভাষায় কথা বলার অধিকার—যা বিশ্বের ইতিহাসে এক অনন্য ও গৌরবোজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত।

এই আত্মত্যাগ শুধু বাংলাদেশের নয়, সমগ্র বিশ্বের মাতৃভাষার মর্যাদা রক্ষার প্রেরণা হয়ে আছে। সেই স্বীকৃতিস্বরূপ ১৯৯৯ সালে ইউনেস্কো ২১ ফেব্রুয়ারিকে আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস হিসেবে ঘোষণা করে। এ দিন আমাদের শিখায় নিজের ভাষা, সংস্কৃতি ও অধিকার রক্ষায় সচেতন ও সোচ্চার হতে।

SCADR set up an 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥 today during the 𝐑𝐔𝐄𝐓 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. Our members showcased 3D printing technology, discussed the importance of design engineering across all branches of engineering, and introduced participants and their guardians to SCADR’s activities. We also highlighted our recent national engineering competition, “𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝟏.𝟎” which focuses on the field of design engineering.⁣

SCADR believes that initiatives like this help inspire future engineering enthusiasts by introducing them to unexplored domains of engineering, while also reflecting the versatility, innovation, and excellence of RUET.

On 8th January 2026, 𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗗𝗥 conducted 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (for 23 Series).

𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗗𝗥 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 serves as a final assessment for design enthusiastic members of 𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗗𝗥. It is designed to encourage participants to enhance and apply their design skills in a competitive environment.

The design knowledge and practical experience earned through this examination are expected to help in national competitions and further.

2025 marked a major milestone as we proudly hosted Extrude 1.0, our first national CAD competition—an achievement that reflected our commitment to innovation, learning, and collaboration. The year also invited reflection, as the nation bid farewell to several towering figures whose legacies will continue to inspire generations.⁣

Moving into 2026, we carry forward the lessons and memories of the past year with renewed purpose. May this new year bring clarity, strength, and opportunities to create lasting impact.⁣
