RUET ECE presents Codeক্যাচাল — one of the major events of upcoming Technocracy 2026
What is Codeক্যাচাল?
It is an Intra-RUET team-based programming contest organized by the Department of ECE in collaboration with RAPL. Each team can have up to 3 participants from the 21–24 series. The contest will be a 4-hour long ICPC-style competition, with no parallel coding allowed.A detailed rulebook will be provided soon.

What will participants get:

ইসিই ডিপার্টমেন্ট ,রাজশাহী প্রকৌশল ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (রুয়েট)–এর পক্ষ থেকে আমাদের প্রাক্তন শিক্ষার্থীদের বর্তমান অবস্থান ও সাফল্যের খবর উপস্থাপন করতে পেরে আমরা সত্যিই আনন্দিত। বিভাগের অনেক সাবেক শিক্ষার্থী এখন দেশ-বিদেশের স্বনামধন্য বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোতে উচ্চশিক্ষা নিচ্ছেন—এটা আমাদের সবার জন্য গর্বের বিষয়।

ইসিই-র গল্প থেমে নেই — প্রতিটি ব্যাচের সাথে এই পরিবার আরও বড় হচ্ছে, আরও দূর পর্যন্ত পৌঁছাচ্ছে। ১৬ সিরিজের শিক্ষার্থীরা আজ দেশের গণ্ডি ছাড়িয়ে কানাডা, যুক্তরাষ্ট্র, অস্ট্রেলিয়া, নিউজিল্যান্ড ও বাংলাদেশের শীর্ষ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোতে উচ্চশিক্ষায় নিজেদের প্রমাণ করে চলেছেন। সাইমন ফ্রেজার, মায়ামি, জর্জ মেসন, মিসিসিপি স্টেট, নিউ সাউথ ওয়েলস, টেক্সাস টেক, বুয়েটের মতো বিশ্বমানের প্রতিষ্ঠানে পিএইচডি ও মাস্টার্স করছেন। তাদের এই যাত্রা আমাদের শেখায় — সত্যিকারের আগ্রহ আর লক্ষ্য থাকলে পথ নিজেই তৈরি হয়ে যায়।

Connecting RUET ECE Alumni with Current Students!
The ECE Department at RUET is sharing alumni stories to inspire students, build connections, and showcase the amazing paths our graduates are taking.
Today, we’re excited to feature two incredible ECE alumni who are making their mark in the tech world.
First up is Auishik Pyne, a proud RUET ECE graduate now working as a Data Quality Analyst at Meta (through Experis). Auishik plays a key role in maintaining data integrity and supporting large-scale, data-driven decision-making at one of the world’s leading tech companies. After finishing his B.Sc. in ECE at RUET, he pursued higher studies in Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology, strengthening his expertise in data systems, analytics, and modern computing. From RUET classrooms to contributing at a global tech giant, Auishik’s journey is a shining example of dedication, continuous learning, and professional excellence.
Next, we have Hasinur Rahman, another ECE graduate now working as a Software Engineer at Google Taiwan. Hasinur contributes to products that impact users all over the world. Before joining Google, he gained hands-on experience at Kite Games Studio, applying his coding and problem-solving skills in game development. His passion for programming started at RUET, where he solved over 2,000 competitive programming problems, helped set algorithm challenges, and mentored fellow students. Hasinur’s story shows how focused skill-building, perseverance, and hands-on learning can take you from the classroom to one of the biggest tech companies on the planet.
We hope these stories inspire current and future ECE students to dream big, stay curious, and build their own paths in the tech world.

এলুমনাইদের সঙ্গে সংযোগ স্থাপন, শিক্ষার্থীদের অনুপ্রাণিত করা এবং আমাদের গ্র্যাজুয়েটদের অসাধারণ ক্যারিয়ার পথগুলো তুলে ধরার উদ্দেশ্যে, রাজশাহী প্রকৌশল ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের তড়িৎ ও কম্পিউটার প্রকৌশল বিভাগের পক্ষ থেকে (ইসিই) বিভাগ ধারাবাহিকভাবে এলুমনাইদের পথচলা তুলে ধরছে।
আজ আমরা দুইজন অসাধারণ ইসিই অ্যালামনাইয়ের গল্প তুলে ধরতে পেরে উচ্ছ্বসিত, যারা প্রযুক্তি জগতে নিজেদের ছাপ রেখেছেন।
প্রথমজন ঐশিক পাইন, একজন গর্বিত ইসিই গ্র্যাজুয়েট, যিনি এখন Meta (Experis-এর মাধ্যমে) এ Data Quality Analyst হিসেবে কাজ করছেন। ঐশিক data integrity বজায় রাখা এবং বৃহৎ পরিসরে তথ্যভিত্তিক সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণের ক্ষেত্রে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করছেন। রুয়েট থেকে বি.এসসি. শেষ করার পরে, তিনি Georgia Institute of Technology-তে কম্পিউটার সায়েন্সে উচ্চশিক্ষা অর্জন করেন এবং ডেটা সিস্টেম, অ্যানালিটিক্স এবং আধুনিক কম্পিউটিং টেকনোলজিতে নিজের দক্ষতা বাড়ান। রুয়েটের ক্লাসরুম থেকে শুরু করে গ্লোবাল টেক জায়ান্টে অবদান - ঐশিকের যাত্রা দৃঢ়তা, ক্রমাগত শেখার মনোভাব, এবং পেশাদারিত্বের উৎকৃষ্ট উদাহরণ।
দ্বিতীয়জন হচ্ছেন হাসিনুর রহমান, একজন ইসিই গ্র্যাজুয়েট, যিনি এখন Google Taiwan-এ Software Engineer হিসেবে কাজ করছেন। হাসিনুর এমন প্রোডাক্টে অবদান রাখছেন যা গোটা বিশ্বে ব্যবহারকারীদের প্রভাবিত করছে। Google-এ যোগ দেওয়ার আগে তিনি Kite Games Studio-তে কাজ করেছেন, যেখানে গেম ডেভেলপমেন্টে তিনি তাঁর কোডিং এবং সমস্যা সমাধানের দক্ষতা ব্যবহার করেছেন। রুয়েটে থাকাকালীন তার প্রোগ্রামিংয়ের প্রতি আগ্রহ শুরু হয়েছিল, যেখানে তিনি ২০০০-এরও বেশি competitive programming এর সমস্যা সমাধান করেছিলেন, অ্যালগরিদম চ্যালেঞ্জ তৈরি করেছিলেন এবং অন্য শিক্ষার্থীদেরও শিখতে সহায়তা করেছিলেন। হাসিনুরের গল্প দেখায় কিভাবে নিয়মিত দক্ষতা গড়ে তোলা, ধৈর্য, এবং ব্যবহারিক শিক্ষা আপনাকে ক্লাসরুম থেকে বিশ্বের বড় প্রযুক্তিগত কোম্পানিতে নিয়ে যেতে পারে।

ইসিই বিভাগের পক্ষ থেকে ১৫ সিরিজের আমাদের সেই সব প্রাক্তন শিক্ষার্থীদের সাথে পরিচয় করিয়ে দিতে পেরে আমরা খুবই আনন্দিত, যারা বর্তমানে বিশ্বের নামকরা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলোতে উচ্চশিক্ষা নিচ্ছেন।

তাদের প্রত্যেকেই দারুণ সব অ্যাকাডেমিক পথ ধরে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছেন—কেউ ইউএনসি শার্লট, ইউনিভার্সিটি অব সাউথ ফ্লোরিডা আর মালারডালেন ইউনিভার্সিটির মতো জায়গায় পিএইচডি করছেন, তো কেউ জর্জিয়া টেক, ইউনিভার্সিটি অব ওলোংগং, ইউনিভার্সিটি অব জাইভাস্কিলা সহ আমেরিকা, যুক্তরাজ্য, অস্ট্রেলিয়া, ফিনল্যান্ড আর বাংলাদেশের অন্যান্য স্বনামধন্য বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়গুলিতে মাস্টার্স করে নিজেদের দক্ষতা বাড়াচ্ছেন।
শিক্ষা আর গবেষণার প্রতি তাদের এই নিষ্ঠা আমাদের বিভাগের জন্য সত্যিই গর্বের বিষয়।
পোস্টের এই সিরিজের মাধ্যমে ইসিই বিভাগ আমাদের প্রাক্তন আর বর্তমান শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে একটা শক্তিশালী সংযোগ গড়ে তোলার চেষ্টা করছে। আমরা চাই, আমাদের সিনিয়রদের সাফল্যের গল্পগুলো দেখে বর্তমান শিক্ষার্থীরা আরও বড় স্বপ্ন দেখুক, আরও দূর এগিয়ে যাক।

আমরা তাদের সবাইকে আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা আর ভালোবাসা জানাই। তাদের এই পথচলা আগামী প্রজন্মের জন্য অনুপ্রেরণা হয়ে থাকুক।

সফটওয়্যার ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং এর দিকে যাওয়ার ইচ্ছা ছিলো নাবিলার। বেশ কয়েকটা ভার্সিটিতে পছন্দের সাবজেক্টও পেয়েছিলো। কিন্তু ব্র‍্যান্ড ভ্যালু বা সুনামের কারণে পরিবারের ইচ্ছে ছিলো, নাবিলা যেন রুয়েটেই ভর্তি হয়।

মেনে নিয়ে নাবিলাও ভর্তি হয় রুয়েটের ইলেক্ট্রিকাল এন্ড কম্পিউটার ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং ডিপার্টমেন্টে। আশা ছিলো, এখান থেকেও সফটওয়্যার ইঞ্জিনিয়ার হওয়া যাবে বোধহয়!

ধীরে ধীরে বুঝতে শুরু করে নাবিলা যে, ল্যাব লার্নিং এর জন্য পারফেক্ট এনভায়রনমেন্ট না। বাসায় নিজে থেকে শিখে তা ল্যাবে ইমপ্লিমেন্ট করতে হবে। এটাই বেস্ট প্র‍্যাক্টিস।

ইউটিউব থেকে শেখার সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় নাবিলা। কিন্তু শেখা আর হয় না। টিউটোরিয়াল-প্লেলিস্ট সেভ করে ভবিষ্যতে শেখার জন্য জমা করতে থাকে সে। এভাবে কেটে যায় রুয়েট জীবনের প্রথম বর্ষ!

দ্বিতীয় বর্ষে লোকাল একটা প্লাটফর্মে ভর্তি হয় ভালো কিছু শেখার আশায়। কোর্স শেষ হলেও হতাশা ব্যাতিত আর কিছু নিয়ে আসা সম্ভব হয়নি নাবিলার পক্ষে। তার মতে, "গোঁজামিল দিয়ে কোর্সটা শেষ করেছে জাস্ট। আর কিছুই না।"

অন্যান্য অনেকের সাকসেস দেখে নাবিলা ভর্তি হয় 'প্রোগ্রামিং হিরো'তে। আগের এক্সপেরিয়েন্স তাকে দ্বিধায় রাখলো। আসলেই কী সে কিছু করতে পারবে!

ধীরে ধীরে উত্তর সামনে আসতে থাকলো। আগের সব লার্নিংস কোর্সের প্রথম মাইলস্টোন কিংবা প্রথম সপ্তাহেই রিক্যাপ হয়ে গেলো।

পড়াশোনা ভালোভাবে মেনটেইন করা, ভালোভাবে কোর্স মডিউল শেষ করা কষ্টসাধ্যই ছিলো। তবে, নাবিলা কোনোকিছু শুরু করলে তার শেষ না দেখে ছাড়তে নারাজ। ভালোভাবে কোর্স শেষ করে সে। এক্সাম আর কোর্সের এসাইনমেন্টও মেইনটেইন করতে হয়েছে!

কোর্স শেষ হওয়ার এবার নতুন জার্নি শুরু। জব হান্টিং জার্নি। প্রতিদিনের ল্যাব, ক্লাস শেষে এসে জবে এপ্লাই করার এনার্জি নাবিলার থাকতো না।

কিন্তু জব প্লেসমেন্ট টিমের মেন্টরের অনুপ্রেরণায় বাধ্য হয়ে এপ্লাই করতো সে। অন্য উপায় নেই। একদিন ভার্সিটিতে গিয়ে নাবিলা মেইল পেলো, দুপুরে একটা ইন্টারভিউ শিডিউলড হয়েছে। কিন্তু, ল্যাব আছে সেই সময়ে!

পোলাইটলি মেইল করে নাবিলা তার সিচুয়েশন এক্সপ্লেইন করে। তারাও নাবিলাকে রাতে ইন্টারভিউর সুযোগ দেয়। এর অন্যতম একটা কারণ হয়তো ছিলো জব প্লেসমেন্ট এর এন্ড গেমে নাবিলার করা একটা গ্রুপ প্রজেক্ট ইন্টারভিউয়ারদের ভীষণ ভালো লাগে।

ইন্টারভিউতে নাবিলাকে এটা বলাও হয় যে, "তোমার প্রজেক্টটা বেশ সুন্দর"।

এক ঘন্টার ইন্টারভিউ শেষে তারা নাবিলাকে কিছু টাস্ক দেয়। চারটা এইচটিএমএল ফাইল জ্যাঙ্গো কিংবা ফ্লাক্স রান করে দেখাতে হবে তাকে এবং তিনদিনের মধ্যে। যদিও আগে কোনো এক্সপেরিয়েন্স নেই নাবিলার। কিন্তু প্রোগ্রামিং হিরো'র কোর্স তার মধ্যে লার্নিং মাইন্ডসেট তৈরি করে দিয়েছিলো। সে চেষ্টা করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিলো। এক্সপ্লোর করে মনে হলো ফ্লাক্স তুলনামূলক সহজ।

সে কাজ শুরু করলো। তবে ডেডলাইনের মধ্যে কমপ্লিট করা সম্ভব হয়নি। সে আরো কিছুটা সময় চাইলো। সৌভাগ্যক্রমে কোম্পানি তাকে সুযোগ দিতে রাজি হলো।

অবশেষে সে টাস্ক জমা করলো। এবং, কয়েকদিন পর তাকে জানানো হলো, "You're hired".

সফটওয়্যার-এ পড়তে না পারার হতাশা থেকে নাবিলা বের হতে পারলো।

ডেভেলপার হওয়ার স্বপ্ন তার পূর্ণ হলো।

Hasinur Rahman, an exceptionally talented alumnus of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), has received a coveted job offer from Google Taiwan for the position of Software Engineer. A proud member of the 2015–16 academic session (15 series), Hasinur’s achievement marks a significant milestone for both himself and the department.
