খুলনা প্রকৌশল ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (কুয়েট) আয়োজিত তিন দিনব্যাপী জাতীয় মেকানিক্যাল ফেস্টিভ্যাল ‘ইগনিশন-২০২৬’-এর LFR সেগমেন্টে অসাধারণ সাফল্য অর্জন করায় ইলেকট্রনিক্স অ্যান্ড টেলিকমিউনিকেশন ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং (ETE) বিভাগের ২০২৪–২৫ শিক্ষাবর্ষের শিক্ষার্থী ইসতিহাব ফেরদৌস জিসান (2404001)-কে আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন।

দেশের ২২টি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অংশগ্রহণকারীদের পেছনে ফেলে জিসান চ্যাম্পিয়ন হয়ে এই অর্জন নিশ্চিত করেছে।

Black Wolf দলের হয়ে অংশ নিয়ে তার উদ্ভাবনী রোবটিক্স দক্ষতা ফাইনাল পর্বে স্পষ্টভাবে প্রাধান্য পেয়েছে, যার ফলস্বরূপ দলটি ৪০ হাজার টাকা প্রাইজমানি ও ট্রফি অর্জন করে।

এই অর্জন শুধু ব্যক্তিগত নয়—এটি আমাদের বিভাগের সক্ষমতা ও সম্ভাবনারও প্রতিফলন।

রাজশাহী প্রকৌশল ও প্রযুক্তি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (রুয়েট) এর ইলেকট্রনিক্স অ্যান্ড টেলিকমিউনিকেশন ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং (ইটিই) বিভাগের উদ্যোগে শহীদ ওসমান বিন হাদীর স্মরণে অনুষ্ঠিত হলো টেলিকমিউনিকেশন প্রিমিয়ার লিগ (TPL)–২০২৬।

গত ১৫ থেকে ১৭ জানুয়ারি ২০২৬ পর্যন্ত তিন দিনব্যাপী এই ক্রিকেট টুর্নামেন্টটি রুয়েট সেন্ট্রাল ফিল্ডে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। টুর্নামেন্টে ইটিই বিভাগের ২০২০–২১ শিক্ষাবর্ষ থেকে ২০২৪–২৫ শিক্ষাবর্ষ পর্যন্ত বিভিন্ন ব্যাচের শিক্ষার্থীরা অংশগ্রহণ করেন। পাশাপাশি বিভাগের সম্মানিত শিক্ষকবৃন্দের প্রতীকী অংশগ্রহণ আয়োজনটিকে আরও প্রাণবন্ত ও মর্যাদাপূর্ণ করে তোলে।

উত্তেজনাপূর্ণ ও প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতাপূর্ণ ম্যাচের মধ্য দিয়ে শেষ হওয়া এই টুর্নামেন্টে ইটিই ২৩ সিরিজ (২০২৩–২৪ শিক্ষাবর্ষ) চ্যাম্পিয়ন হওয়ার গৌরব অর্জন করে। অপরদিকে ইটিই ২০ সিরিজ (২০২০–২১ শিক্ষাবর্ষ) রানার্সআপ হিসেবে প্রতিযোগিতা শেষ করে।

ফাইনাল ম্যাচে ইটিই বিভাগের সম্মানিত বিভাগীয় প্রধান প্রফেসর ড. কামাল হোসেন সহ বিভাগের অন্যান্য শিক্ষকবৃন্দ উপস্থিত থেকে খেলোয়াড়দের উৎসাহ ও অনুপ্রেরণা প্রদান করেন। ফাইনাল ম্যাচ শেষে সম্মানিত শিক্ষকবৃন্দ বিজয়ী ও রানার্সআপ দলের খেলোয়াড়দের মাঝে ট্রফি ও পুরস্কার তুলে দেন।

Congratulations to 𝐒𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐩𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥 (Roll: 1904009), Head of Electrical, Team Crack Platoon, and 𝐀𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐯 𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐮𝐥 (Roll: 2004028), Chief of Electrical Powertrain, Team Crack Platoon, from the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE), RUET, for their remarkable contributions to the Formula Student Racing team representing RUET on the global stage.

Team Crack Platoon participated in Formula SAE Japan 2025, held from September 8-13 at Aichi Sky Expo, Tokoname, Japan, and achieved outstanding success:
3rd Place – PR Award (A historic first-ever Crest for Bangladesh in Formula Student history)
10th Place – Cost & Manufacturing Event
14th Place – Design Event
19th Place – Business Plan Presentation
Successfully Passed – Electrical Inspection (EV1–EV4)
18th Overall – EV Class (among the top 90 international teams)

This historic achievement not only marks a new milestone for RUET but also brings immense pride to Bangladesh - showcasing the innovation, technical excellence, and relentless spirit of our young engineers.

Heartfelt congratulations to Sudipto Mondal, Arunav Rahul, and the entire Team Crack Platoon for making history and proving that Bangladeshi engineering talent can truly race beyond limits.

She will also be serving as a Graduate Research Assistant during her doctoral studies.

Congratulations to Md Darul Atfal Palash (ID-1804005) on securing a fully funded Ph.D. position in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Auburn University (AU), Alabama, USA!

He will serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering during Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026.

Congratulations to Md. Samin Yeasir Hasan (ID: 1704003) for securing admission to the Master’s in Engineering Management program at Tufts University, USA (Ranked 37th in the U.S.)

He will be joining the Fall 2025 cohort, which includes a year-long residency at the Derby Entrepreneurship Center and a one-year Co-Op placement in Boston, Massachusetts.

🎉 Congratulations, Md. Washik Al Azad, on joining the cutting-edge world of Machine Learning at Google! 🚀

Washik Al Azad, a remarkably talented alumnus of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), has taken a monumental step in his career. He is now part of a specialized team at Google, working on building networking for next-generation ML solutions, powering Gemini and external cloud customers running large-scale ML training.

A proud member of the 2012–13 academic session (12 series), Washik’s journey reflects academic excellence, dedication, and relentless pursuit of innovation.

Here is a brief glimpse of his achievements:

🎓 Academic Excellence:

Completed B.Sc. in ETE from RUET.

Earned his Master of Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Completed PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, USA.

👨‍🏫 Teaching & Research Experience:

Graduate Teaching Assistant (Jan 2020 – May 2020) at University of Nebraska at Omaha.

Graduate Research Assistant (Jun 2020 – Dec 2022) during his Master’s.

Continued as a Graduate Research Assistant during his PhD, contributing to state-of-the-art research in computer systems and ML.

💡 Current Role at Google:

Part of a team focused on interconnecting GPUs and TPU pods, optimizing ML performance and scalability.

Contributing to ML infrastructure that powers Gemini and supports Google Cloud’s external ML clients.
