The Center for Interdisciplinary Research (CIR), Varendra University, is pleased to host its 20th monthly seminar, offering an opportunity to reflect on Eastern philosophy, thought, and ways of seeing the world. The seminar, “Reading Lao Tzu in a Multidisciplinary Way: Developing an Eastern Gaze,” will be led by Professor Shahidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Science, and Head, Department of English, Varendra University.

Eligible for Participants
 Students (undergraduate, postgraduate) and teachers of Law departments at all public and private universities in Rajshahi Region.
 Students (undergraduate and postgraduate) and teachers of Sociology, Social Work, Criminology, and other relevant departments at the same eligible institutions, where the research addresses one of the three conference themes.
 Former members or alumni of Law, Sociology, Social Work, Criminology, and other relevant departments within the respective division are also encouraged to participate.
 Cross–sectional, social activists and civil society members are formally invited and do not require paper submission to attend.
 Chairpersons of Law, Sociology, Social Work, Criminology, and other relevant departments within the respective Region are formally assigned as co-host. However, interested Chairpersons can submit their paper but will remain excluded in prize competition.
