Exclamatory Sentence (বিস্ময়সূচক বাক্য): Exclamatory Sentence হলো এমন বাক্য যা আবেগ, বিস্ময়, আনন্দ, দুঃখ, রাগ ইত্যাদি প্রকাশ করে।

Examples:
What a beautiful day!
How nice the flower is!
Wow! That’s amazing!
Alas! He is no more.
Hurrah! We won the match!

Structure:
What + (a/an) + adjective + noun + subject + verb
👉 What a great player he is!
How + adjective/adverb + subject + verb
👉 How fast she runs!

অনেক সময় “What” বা “How” দিয়ে শুরু হয়। সাধারণত বাক্যের শেষে “!” (exclamation mark) থাকে।

Optative sentence (অপটেটিভ বাক্য) হলো এমন বাক্য যা ইচ্ছা, প্রার্থনা বা আশীর্বাদ প্রকাশ করে।

বৈশিষ্ট্য:
ইচ্ছা বা কামনা প্রকাশ করে, প্রার্থনা বা আশীর্বাদ বোঝায়, ইংরেজিতে সাধারণত May বা Wish দিয়ে শুরু হয়, অনেক সময় শেষে ! চিহ্ন থাকে

উদাহরণ:
1. May you live long! → তুমি দীর্ঘজীবী হও।

2. May Allah bless you! → আল্লাহ তোমাকে আশীর্বাদ করুন।

3. May you succeed in life! → তুমি জীবনে সফল হও।

4. Long live Bangladesh! → বাংলাদেশ দীর্ঘজীবী হোক।

5. Wish you a happy life! → তোমার সুখী জীবন কামনা করি।

Imperative Sentence (আদেশমূলক বাক্য)

Imperative sentence হলো এমন বাক্য যা দ্বারা আদেশ, অনুরোধ, উপদেশ, নিষেধ, নির্দেশ বা আহ্বান প্রকাশ করা হয়।

সাধারণত এই ধরনের বাক্যে Subject (You) থাকে না, কিন্তু বোঝা যায় যে “You” আছে।

Example:
Open the door. (দরজা খোলো।) → আদেশ
Please help me. (দয়া করে আমাকে সাহায্য করো।) → অনুরোধ
Do your homework. (তোমার কাজ করো।) → নির্দেশ
Don’t run in the classroom. (ক্লাসে দৌড়াবে না।) → নিষেধ
Have a seat. (বসো।) → আমন্ত্রণ

Imperative Sentence এর বৈশিষ্ট্য:
সাধারণত Verb দিয়ে শুরু হয়। Subject “You” গোপন থাকে। শেষে full stop (.) বা কখনো exclamation mark (!) থাকে

গঠন: Base form of verb + object
Example: Close the window. Turn off the light.

Interrogative Sentence (প্রশ্নবাচক বাক্য)

Interrogative sentence হলো সেই বাক্য যার মাধ্যমে প্রশ্ন করা হয়।
এই ধরনের বাক্যের শেষে সাধারণত question mark (?) থাকে।

উদাহরণ: Are you a student? Where do you live? Did she finish her work? Why are you late?

Interrogative Sentence-এর প্রকারভেদ:
1. Yes/No Question: যে প্রশ্নের উত্তর Yes বা No দিয়ে দেওয়া যায়।
যেমনঃ Do you like tea? Is he your brother?

2. WH- Question: যে প্রশ্ন What, When, Where, Why, Who, Which, How ইত্যাদি দিয়ে শুরু হয়। যেমনঃ What is your name? How are you?

Assertive Sentence দুই ধরনের:

1. Affirmative (ধনাত্মক বাক্য): কোনো কিছু স্বীকার বা নিশ্চিত করে।
Example: 1. She is a student. 2. I like mangoes. 3. We live in Bangladesh.

2. Negative (নেতিবাচক বাক্য): কোনো কিছু অস্বীকার করে।
Example: 1. She is not a student. 2. I do not like tea. 3. They are not playing.

গঠন (Structure): Subject + Verb + Object/Extension
Example: • Arif teaches English. • The sun rises in the east.

Assertive Sentence (বর্ণনামূলক বাক্য)

Assertive sentence হলো এমন বাক্য যা কোনো তথ্য, মতামত বা ঘটনা সাধারণভাবে প্রকাশ করে।

এগুলোকে Declarative Sentenceও বলা হয়।

এই বাক্য সাধারণত Full stop (.) দিয়ে শেষ হয়।

Structure অনুযায়ী Sentence 3 প্রকার:

1. Simple Sentence (সরল বাক্য):
যে বাক্যে একটিমাত্র independent clause থাকে এবং সম্পূর্ণ একটি ভাব প্রকাশ করে। শুধু একটি subject ও verb থাকে (বা একই subject-এর একাধিক verb থাকতে পারে)। উদাহরণ: The boy is singing. I read books.

2. Compound Sentence (যৌগিক বাক্য):
যে বাক্যে দুটি বা ততোধিক independent clause থাকে এবং এগুলো and, but, or, so, yet ইত্যাদি coordinating conjunction দিয়ে যুক্ত থাকে।
প্রতিটি clause আলাদা বাক্য হিসেবেও দাঁড়াতে পারে। উদাহরণ: I was tired, but I finished the work. She came, and she helped me.

3. Complex Sentence (জটিল বাক্য)
যে বাক্যে একটি independent clause + একটি বা একাধিক dependent clause থাকে। Dependent clause–এ usually if, when, because, that, who, which ইত্যাদি থাকে। Dependent clause আলাদা বাক্য হতে পারে না। উদাহরণ: I will go if it does not rain. The boy who won the prize is my friend.

অর্থের ভিত্তিতে বাক্য ৫ প্রকার:

১. Assertive Sentence (বর্ণনামূলক বাক্য)
কোনো বিষয় বলতে বা জানাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Example:
He is a good student.
I like mangoes.
The sun rises in the east.
বাংলায়: “সে একজন ভালো ছাত্র।” / “আমি আম পছন্দ করি।”

২. Interrogative Sentence (প্রশ্নবাচক বাক্য)
প্রশ্ন করতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Example:
What is your name?
Do you like coffee?
Where are you going?
বাংলায়: “তোমার নাম কী?” / “তুমি কোথায় যাচ্ছো?”

৩. Imperative Sentence (আদেশমূলক বাক্য)
আদেশ, পরামর্শ, অনুরোধ, বা নিষেধ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Example:
Sit down.
Please help me.
Don’t go there.
বাংলায়: “বসো।” / “দয়া করে আমাকে সাহায্য করো।” / “ওখানে যেও না।”

৪. Optative Sentence (ইচ্ছাবাচক বাক্য)
কোনো কামনা, শুভেচ্ছা, বা প্রার্থনা বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Example:
May God bless you.
Wish you a happy birthday!
May you live long.
বাংলায়: “ঈশ্বর তোমাকে আশীর্বাদ করুন।” / “তুমি দীর্ঘজীবী হও।”

৫. Exclamatory Sentence (আবেগসূচক বাক্য)
হঠাৎ কোনো আবেগ, বিস্ময়, আনন্দ, দুঃখ বা রাগ প্রকাশে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
Example:
What a beautiful flower!
How sweet the child is!
Alas! He is dead.
বাংলায়: “কি সুন্দর ফুল!” / “আহা! সে মরে গেছে।”
