English Sentence Patterns with "Earlier" ✨

1️⃣ Subject + verb + earlier
🔹 আগে কিছু করেছে
Example:
She arrived earlier.
(সে আগে পৌঁছেছে।)

2️⃣ Subject + verb + earlier than + comparison
🔹 তুলনামূলক আগে কিছু করেছে
Example:
I left earlier than him.
(আমি তার থেকে আগে গিয়েছিলাম।)

3️⃣ Earlier + time phrase, + subject + verb
🔹 সময় উল্লেখ করে বাক্য শুরু
Example:
Earlier this morning, he called me.
(আজ সকালেই সে আমাকে ফোন করেছে।)

1. Reluctant

* Meaning: Unwilling or hesitant
* বাংলা অর্থ: অনিচ্ছুক / দ্বিধাগ্রস্ত
* Example: She was **reluctant** to speak in public.

➤ সে প্রকাশ্যে কথা বলতে **অনিচ্ছুক** ছিল।

2. Abandon

* Meaning: To leave behind or give up
* বাংলা অর্থ: ত্যাগ করা / ছেড়ে দেওয়া
* Example: They had to **abandon** their home during the flood.

➤ বন্যার সময় তারা তাদের ঘর **ত্যাগ করতে** বাধ্য হয়।

3. Essential

* Meaning: Absolutely necessary
* বাংলা অর্থ: অপরিহার্য / প্রয়োজনীয়
* Example: Water is **essential** for life.

➤ জীবনধারণের জন্য পানি **অপরিহার্য**।

4. Observe

* Meaning: To watch carefully or follow
* বাংলা অর্থ: লক্ষ্য করা / পালন করা
* Example: We must **observe** the safety rules.

➤ আমাদের নিরাপত্তা নিয়ম **পালন করতে** হবে।

5. Rapid

* Meaning: Very fast or quick
* বাংলা অর্থ: দ্রুত / অতি দ্রুত
* Example: Technology is changing at a **rapid** pace.

➤ প্রযুক্তি **দ্রুতগতিতে** পরিবর্তিত হচ্ছে।

* Meaning: Bright, clear, and full of life
* বাংলা অর্থ: উজ্জ্বল / জীবন্ত / স্পষ্ট
* Example: I have **vivid** memories of my childhood.

➤ আমার শৈশবের **স্পষ্ট স্মৃতি** এখনো মনে আছে।

7. Confrontationalist

* Meaning: A person who often starts conflict or argument
* বাংলা অর্থ: সংঘর্ষপ্রবণ / বিরোধিতামূলক ব্যক্তি
* Example: He is known as a **confrontationalist** in political debates.

➤ রাজনৈতিক বিতর্কে সে একজন **সংঘর্ষপ্রবণ ব্যক্তি** হিসেবে পরিচিত।

8. Diametrically

* Meaning: Completely or totally (often used with "opposite")
* বাংলা অর্থ: একেবারে / সম্পূর্ণরূপে বিপরীত

9. Rivalry

* Meaning: Absence of leadership or control
* বাংলা অর্থ: নেতৃত্বহীন অবস্থা / ক্ষমতার শূন্যতা

➤ রাষ্ট্রপতির পদত্যাগ **ক্ষমতার শূন্যতা** তৈরি করেছিল।

11. Ignite

* Meaning: To set fire or spark strong emotion
* বাংলা অর্থ: আগুন লাগানো / উদ্দীপনা সৃষ্টি করা

➤ তার বক্তৃতা মানুষের মনে **আশা জাগিয়ে তোলে**।

12. Procrastination

* Meaning: Delaying tasks unnecessarily
* বাংলা অর্থ: দীর্ঘসূত্রতা / ঢিলেমি
* Example: **Procrastination** is the thief of time.

➤ **দীর্ঘসূত্রতা** সময়ের চোর।

13. Diplomatic Autonomy

* Meaning: A country's independent control over foreign policy
* বাংলা অর্থ: কূটনৈতিক স্বাধীনতা / স্বায়ত্তশাসন
* Example: The country is trying to maintain **diplomatic autonomy** despite foreign pressure.

➤ বিদেশি চাপে পড়েও দেশটি **কূটনৈতিক স্বাধীনতা** বজায় রাখার চেষ্টা করছে।

14. Fictitious

* Meaning: Not real; made up
* বাংলা অর্থ: কাল্পনিক / মিথ্যা / বানোয়াট
* Example: He gave a **fictitious** name to avoid trouble.

➤ ঝামেলা এড়াতে সে একটি **বানোয়াট নাম** ব্যবহার করেছিল।

15. Craving

* Meaning: A strong desire for something
* বাংলা অর্থ: তীব্র ইচ্ছা / আকাঙ্ক্ষা
* Example: She had a **craving** for chocolate last night.

➤ গত রাতে তার চকলেট খাওয়ার **তীব্র ইচ্ছা** হয়েছিল।

Verb+ing – একটাই রূপ, চারটা ব্যবহার!

আজকের পোস্টে আমরা খুব সহজভাবে শিখব verb+ing কিভাবে বাক্যে noun, verb, adjective, এবং adverb হিসেবে কাজ করে।
প্রত্যেকটির জন্য আছে বাংলা ব্যাখ্যা + উদাহরণ ✅

Verb+ing as a Noun (Gerund)
Verb+ing = name of an action
Examples:

Reading is my hobby.
(Reading = subject, a noun)
পড়াশোনা আমার শখ।
I love singing.
আমি গান গাইতে ভালোবাসি।

Verb+ing as a Verb (Continuous Tense)
Used in continuous tenses with am/is/are/was/were/have been, etc.
Examples:

She is singing.
সে গাইছে।
They were playing football.
তারা ফুটবল খেলছিল।

Verb+ing as an Adjective (Participle Adjective)
Describes a noun, tells what kind of thing it is.
Examples:

It was a boring movie.
এটা ছিল এক বিরক্তিকর সিনেমা।
The running water was cold.
বয়ে চলা পানিটা ঠাণ্ডা ছিল।
Clue: It answers “What kind?” about a noun.

Verb+ing as an Adverb (Participle Phrase)
Describes how, when, or why something happens.
Often used to show two actions happening at the same time.
Examples:

She walked home, crying.
সে কাঁদতে কাঁদতে বাসায় গেল।
Smiling, he entered the room.
হেসে সে ঘরে ঢুকলো।
Clue: It answers “How?” or “When?” about the verb.
