International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples 2026

The Indigenous Students Association of Noakhali Science and Technology University proudly organized a celebration of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples 2026 at the NSTU Central Auditorium, in collaboration with the indigenous students of Prime Nursing College and Rabeya Nursing Institute.
The event brought together indigenous students from all three institutions to celebrate our diverse cultures, traditions, identities, and shared heritage. The program featured both a formal session and a cultural session, creating a meaningful space for reflection, unity, and cultural expression.

We were honored by the presence of Special Prof. Dr. Dibyadyuti Sarkar, Chairman, Department of Political Science, NSTU, Prof. Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain (Chondon Anwar), Advisor, Indigenous Students Association and Professor, Department of Bangla, NSTU, and Bidorshon Chakma, President, Indigenous Students Association, along with the respected leaders of the 10th Executive Committee of ISA.

The cultural session was a vibrant celebration of Indigenous heritage, with enthusiastic participation from students of ISA-NSTU, Prime Nursing College, and Rabeya Nursing Institute. Through traditional music, dance, performances, and cultural expressions, the students showcased the richness and diversity of Indigenous cultures. This celebration was more than just an event. It was a gathering of communities, cultures, and young voices—a reminder that our diversity is our strength, our heritage is our identity, and preserving and celebrating our cultures is a responsibility we share.

The Indigenous Students Association, NSTU sincerely expresses its gratitude to all the distinguished guests, partner institutions, students, performers, organizers, volunteers, and everyone who contributed to making this celebration meaningful and memorable.
