Taking approval from the Government of then Bangal Province, a famous saint, spiritual individuality of the sub-continent, Hazrat Maowlana Karamat Ali Jounpuri (r) established Noakhali Karamatia Kamil Madrasah, according to the syllabus of Calcutta Alia Madrasah of India. The founder himself performed his duties and responsibilities as the supernumerary head of the institution at a stretch till 1870. Then he handed his charge over his son Hazrat Maulana Hamed Siddiquee Jounpuri (R) as the supernumerary head like himself and he migrated to Rangpur to preach Islam and for the propagation of the Quran and Sunnah. NKKM is fully aware of the requirements in higher education of the present society and provides quality education of moderate cost. The main objectives of the madrasah is to turn out broadly Islamic educated and technologically oriented graduates capable of attaining meaningful career and making positive contributions for Islam and for the nation. Institutional procedure:
The procedure of the madrasah was recognized by Government of Bengal as a junior madrasah in 1850. Then Government of Bengal recognized the madrasah as a Fadil B.A level in 1925. Afterwards, Government of Bengal recognized the madrasah permanently for the Fadil B.A Examination on 01.06.1945 according to the Memo No : L758B/ IM-67 B . It is the most delightful to note that the madrasah was recognized by Government of Pakistan in to Kamil M.A. In this way, the madrasah has been spreading the light of Islamic education at a stretch for 162 years. Objectives of the Madrasah :
The main objective of the madrasah is to acquire the pleasure of Almighty Allah, to make the neglected people of the state as ideal and trained citizens according to the teaching of the Quran-Al-Nazeed and Sunnah, to expand all levels of education in different dimensions in Quaran, Hadith, Fiqh, Islaim History etc. and all other that come under the purview of human knowledge and understanding by diversity of means including the use of digital technology. It intends to provide opportunities of education to all classes of students and create efficient and skilled manpower by improving the quality of education. In the national education arena, this madrasah, therefore, carries enormous responsibilities and possibilities. Academic Programs :
Academic programs of NKKM are organized under three sections : Primary Section, Dakhil Section and A'lia Section based on Humanities Group. At present over 1200 students e.g. girls 228, boys 972 in total students 1174 are enrolled at undergraduate and post graduate levels. At present, the madrasah has twenty one permanent teachers and 3 guest teachers including Principal, 2 asstt. Professors, 4 lecturers and 14 asstt teachers, many of them are higher educated and experienced teachers who constantly inspire the students with honesty, sincerity and purity of purpose. 4 staffs are engaged to provide services to students. Extracurricular Activities :
NKKM maintains a wide spectrum of extra academic activities for the students. The students regularly participate in sports, cultural programs, Debates, Literary competitions, Essay Competition, General Knowledge Competition etc in inter-madrasah national competitions. Students carry out these operations through NKKM Language and Cultural Club. Life at the vibrant campuses of NKKM is exciting and stimulating, but it is challenging at the same time. The students are natural in a disciplined environment so that they can be good human beings who are morally strong, physically able, mentally alert, and capable of making decisions. Tuition Fee Waiver:
At present, the Madrsaha offers Scholarship. In total 200 students received tuition fee waiver, in the session 2011-2012, under different categories, such as Internal Exam Result, Dakhil Result, A'lim result, semester result, female students, physically disabled students, poor students, freedom fighters children and meritorious students. ICT Service:
Twelve computers are regularly used by the students and employees in the computer lab and offices of the madrasah. All activities of administration, such as accounts, admission, Registration, Form Fill up, processing and publication of results, tuition fee payment, and teaching evaluation are automated. By using computer lab, students receive necessary information and interact with teachers and fellow mates for further understanding of their lessons. Students are provided with Internet facilities and Internet browsing labs. Computers are being made available to all students admitted since 2012. In the near, NKKM is going to establish Digital Library for the students. Academic Collaboration:
The madrasah will develop a national academic collaboration with many renowned universities and madrasah in Bangladesh. With a view to developing the standard of education, process is going for establishing academic collaboration with National and International Madrasah including Universities. Contact:
