আমি সকল Sentence Connectors (and, or, but, as, since, because... ইত্যাদি) কে সুন্দরভাবে বাংলা অর্থ, ব্যাকরণগত নিয়মাবলী এবং সহজ উদাহরণসহ উপস্থাপন করলাম, যেন SSC ও HSC ছাত্রছাত্রীরা সহজে অনুধাবন করতে পারে এবং মনে রাখতে সক্ষম হয়।

and
(এবং, আর) সমান ধরনের তথ্য বা কাজ যোগ করতে He is tall and strong. সে লম্বা এবং শক্তিশালী।
or
(অথবা) বিকল্প বোঝাতে You can take tea or coffee. তুমি চা অথবা কফি গ্রহণ করতে পারো।
but
(কিন্তু) বিপরীত অর্থ বা ভিন্ন ধারণা উপস্থাপন করতে He is poor but honest. সে গরিব কিন্তু সৎ।
as
(যেমন/যেহেতু) তুলনা বা কারণ বোঝাতে As he was ill, he stayed home. যেহেতু সে অসুস্থ ছিল, সে বাসায় ছিল।
since
(যেহেতু/থেকে) কারণ বা সময় বোঝাতে Since you are here, let’s start. যেহেতু তুমি এখানে, চল শুরু করি।
because
(কারণ) সরাসরি কারণ বোঝাতে He was late because of traffic. যানজটের কারণে সে দেরি করেছিল।
that
(যে) বাক্যের দুই অংশ যুক্ত করতে I know that he is honest. আমি জানি যে সে সৎ।
for
(কারণ/জন্য) কারণ বোঝাতে (literary) I cannot go for I am ill. আমি যেতে পারছি না, কারণ আমি অসুস্থ।
than
(অপেক্ষা) তুলনা করতে He is taller than me. সে আমার অপেক্ষা লম্বা।
as...as
(যত...তত) সমান তুলনা He is as tall as his brother. সে তার ভাইয়ের মতোই লম্বা।
such
(এমন) জোর দিয়ে বোঝাতে He is such a good man. সে এমন একজন ভাল মানুষ।
before
(আগে) সময় বোঝাতে Finish it before you go. তুমি যাওয়ার আগে এটা শেষ করো।
though / although
(যদিও) বিপরীত সত্য বোঝাতে Though he is rich, he is not happy. যদিও সে ধনী, সে সুখী নয়।
in order to
(করার জন্য) উদ্দেশ্য বোঝাতে He studies hard in order to pass. সে পাশ করার জন্য কঠোর অধ্যয়ন করে।
if
(যদি) শর্ত বোঝাতে If you study, you will pass. যদি তুমি পড়, তুমি পাশ করবে।
whether
(কিনা) বিকল্প বা সন্দেহ বোঝাতে I don’t know whether he will come. আমি জানি না সে আসবে কিনা।
whereas
(অথচ/কিন্তু) তুলনা বা বিপরীত বোঝাতে He is tall, whereas his brother is short. সে লম্বা, অথচ তার ভাই খাটো।
both...and
(দুটোই) সমান জিনিস বোঝাতে Both Rahim and Karim are honest. রহিম এবং করিম দুজনই সৎ।
until
(পর্যন্ত) সময় বোঝাতে Wait here until I come.

Changing sentence এর ২০টি উদাহরণ লিখে দিলাম এগুলো অনুশীলনের মাধ্যমে তুমি তোমার প্রস্তুতিকে আরও গুছিয়ে নিতে পারো

(প্রথমে Simple, তারপর Compound, তারপর Complex)

Simple: He studied hard to win the prize.
Compound: He studied hard and he won the prize.
Complex: He studied hard so that he could win the prize.
2.
Simple: In spite of his illness, he attended the class.
Compound: He was ill, but he attended the class.
Complex: Although he was ill, he attended the class.
3.
Simple: He ran fast to catch the train.
Compound: He ran fast and he caught the train.
Complex: He ran fast so that he could catch the train.
4.
Simple: Besides being intelligent, he is hardworking.
Compound: He is intelligent and he is hardworking.
Complex: He is hardworking because he is intelligent.
5.
Simple: Owing to heavy rain, the match was cancelled.
Compound: It rained heavily and the match was cancelled.
Complex: The match was cancelled because/as it rained heavily.
6.
Simple: He confessed his guilt to avoid punishment.
Compound: He confessed his guilt and he avoided punishment.

Complex: He confessed his guilt so that he might avoid punishment.
7.
Simple: With all his faults, I like him.
Compound: He has faults, yet I like him.
Complex: Though he has faults, I like him.
8.
Simple: He is too weak to walk.
Compound: He is weak and he cannot walk.
Complex: He is so weak that he cannot walk.
9.
Simple: He was punished for his carelessness.
Compound: He was careless and he was punished.
Complex: He was punished because he was careless.
10.
Simple: The boy, being tired, went to bed.
Compound: The boy was tired and he went to bed.
Complex: The boy went to bed because he was tired.

Simple: The sun having risen, we started our journey.
Compound: The sun rose and we started our journey.
