The Semifinal Round of the Interdepartmental English Parliamentary Debate Competition 2K26 will be held on 22 September at Room 504, Panorama Building.

Match 1: CSE vs LAW — 3:30 PM
Match 2: CE vs ME — 4:20 PM

The First Round of the Interdepartmental English Parliamentary Debate Competition was successfully held today in Rooms 504 and 507 of the Panaroma Building, featuring passionate arguments, insightful ideas and an exciting exchange of perspectives.

Following the first round, the Department of Law and Justice, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Civil Engineering have qualified for the Semifinals.

Congratulations to all the qualifying teams!

The Semifinal Round will be held tomorrow. We wish all the qualifiers the very best for the next round. May the spirit of debate, learning and healthy competition continue to thrive.

BAUET Battle of Minds 2K26

The Interdepartmental English Parliamentary Debate Competition 2K26 is set to commence on 21st September, bringing together participants from all eight departments of BAUET in a platform of intellectual exchange, argumentation and constructive discourse.

The First Round will be held on 21st September at Room 508 and Room 515, Panorama Building.

We wish all participating teams the very best as they present their arguments, challenge perspectives and compete with confidence and conviction.

The Final Round of the Intra-Departmental Debate Competition brought the journey to an exciting close on 31 August 2026, with YAPPERS emerging as the Champion and TRIVOX securing the Runner-up position. Congratulations to both teams for an impressive display of arguments, confidence and teamwork!

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the BAUET Business Club, our respected faculty members, and all the members of the BAUET Debating Society for their support and contribution in making the competition a success.

On 25 August 2026, the Intra-Departmental Debate Competition of the BBA Department brought together enthusiastic new debaters, passionate minds and a vibrant spirit of intellectual exchange.

BAUET Debating Society is proud to appreciate the emerging debaters of the BBA Department for stepping forward, challenging perspectives and embracing the art of argumentation. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to BAUET Business Club for organizing and facilitating this engaging platform for the students.

A special acknowledgment goes to our President, General Secretary and Joint General Secretary who contributed to the competition as speakers and judges, sharing their experience and helping nurture the next generation of debaters.

🎙️ Understanding the Art of Debate!

BAUET Debating Society was delighted to collaborate with BAUET Business Club for an engaging session on the rules and regulations of different debate formats, with special focus on Traditional Debate and Asian Parliamentary Debate.

Held on 9 August 2026, the session was conducted by our General Secretary and Vice President, who shared valuable insights into debate structure, speaker roles, rules, and argumentation.
A productive session filled with learning, discussion, and a deeper understanding of competitive debating. We look forward to more such collaborations and opportunities to learn, grow, and debate together.
