যেই স্কুলের শিক্ষকরা 40 মিনিটস ক্লাস টাইমের মধ্যে ম্যাক্সিমাম সময় নষ্ট করে শুধু তার কাছে পড়তে যাওয়ার এডভার্টাইজিং করেই সেই স্কুলের রেজাল্ট খারাপ হবেই!

চলো Tag question সম্পর্কে জানি

Tag Question-এর সব নিয়ম (All Rules of Tag Question)

Rule 1: বাক্য যদি Affirmative হয়, তাহলে Tag হয় Negative

Example:

He is a teacher, isn’t he?

Rule 2: বাক্য যদি Negative হয়, তাহলে Tag হয় Affirmative

Example:

She doesn’t like mangoes, does she?

Rule 3: Helping verb থাকলে সেটিই Tag-এ ব্যবহার হয়

Example:

They have finished the task, haven’t they?

Rule 4: Helping verb না থাকলে do/does/did ব্যবহার হয়

Example:

He plays cricket, doesn’t he?

Rule 5: বাক্যে ‘am’ থাকলে Tag হয় aren’t I

Example:

I am your friend, aren’t I?

Rule 6: Let’s দিয়ে শুরু হলে Tag হয় shall we

Example:

Let’s go to school, shall we?

Rule 7: Imperative sentence হলে Tag হয় will you / won’t you

Example:

Sit down, will you?

Don’t be late, will you?

Rule 8: Sentence যদি “There” দিয়ে শুরু হয়, Tag-এও “there” থাকে

Example:

There is a problem, isn’t there?

Rule 9: ‘Nobody’, ‘Nothing’, ‘No one’, ‘None’ থাকলে Negative ধরা হয় — তাই Positive Tag

Example:

Nobody called you, did they?

Rule 10: ‘Everybody’, ‘Someone’, ‘Everyone’, ‘Each’, ‘Every’, ‘Somebody’ = Positive + Tag: They

Example:

Everyone is present, aren’t they?

Rule 11: বাক্যে ‘Never’, ‘Hardly’, ‘Seldom’, ‘Few’, ‘Little’ থাকলে সেগুলো Negative ধরা হয়

Example:

He never lies, does he?

She has little money, has she?

Rule 12: Future Tense হলে Tag হয় will + subject

Example:

He will help you, won’t he?

Rule 13: Modal Verb (can, could, would, should, must, etc.) থাকলে সেটাই ব্যবহৃত হয়

Example:

You must go now, mustn’t you?

She can dance, can’t she?

Rule 14: Subject যদি “everything”, “something”, “anything” হয়, Tag হয় “it” দিয়ে

Example:

Everything is okay, isn’t it?

Rule 15: Subject যদি “none” হয়, সেটিকে Plural ভাবা হয়

Example:

None were absent, were they?
এগুলোই Tag Question-এর সব ধরনের মূল নিয়ম। এগুলো আয়ত্তে রাখলে যেকোনো পরীক্ষায় ট্যাগ প্রশ্নে ফুল মার্ক পাওয়া সম্ভব।
