Class 1: Introduction to Fountains & Design Planning
Goal: To give students a complete understanding of fountains and enable them to plan their own designs.
What you will learn:
History, purpose, and types of fountains
Which design suits which place: indoor, outdoor, rooftop garden, restaurants, resorts
Multi-tier fountain concepts (single, double, cascading)
Basic drawing & layout (first sketching by hand with pencil)
Determining water flow direction & motor positioning
Benefit: Students will gain design clarity and confidence to create their own fountain plans.
Class 2: Model & Mold Making Techniques
Goal: To learn how to build the fountain’s basic structure manually.
What you will learn:
Building models using wood, clay, fiber, thermocol, or cement
Giving proper structural support
Mold-making: plaster mold, silicone mold, fiber mold
Raw materials: resin, hardener, fiber mat, gypsum, etc.
Dividing the design into parts (base, tiers, pipe placement, light slots)
Benefit: Students will be able to make complete molds, which is the foundation of production.
Class 3: Casting & Primary Finishing
Goal: To shape the fountain through casting and fix initial imperfections.
What you will learn:
Proper ratio of fiber + resin + hardener
Techniques to avoid air bubbles and ensure even distribution
Step-by-step casting (base > middle > top)
Primary finishing: trimming extra parts, smoothing rough edges
Benefit: Casting is the backbone of the product—proper casting ensures durability and quality.
Class 4: De-molding & Fine Finishing
Goal: To safely remove from molds and refine the product into final shape.
What you will learn:
Knowing the right time for de-molding
Fixing cracks, uneven surfaces, mold marks
Sanding & polishing tools (manual & electric)
Buffing with wood or rubber for extra smoothness
Preparing surface before painting
Benefit: Learn how to turn a raw structure into a market-ready product.
Class 5: Painting, Lighting & Water Flow Testing
Goal: To present the fountain beautifully and test technical performance.
What you will learn:
Applying primer & choosing the right paints
Painting techniques: sponge, brush, spray machine
Artistic finishes: stone effect, wood effect, shading
Motor installation, pipe sizing & fitting
Testing water flow using a test tank
Easy tricks for LED light integration
Benefit: You will be able to create not only functional but also visually stunning fountains.
Class 6: Troubleshooting & Feedback
Goal: To identify and solve common problems.
What you will learn:
Reviewing students’ works & personalized feedback
Fixing common issues: cracks, water stains, leakage
Guidance on future improvements and sourcing materials
Benefit: Students will gain confidence to solve problems independently.
