Official Statement Regarding the Expulsion of Arham Akhyar:

As an organization, MSCDC does not typically make internal matters public unless they are urgent and necessary for the safety and well-being of our members. However, recent incidents have compelled us to publicly clarify our stance.

The issue concerns Arham Akhyar, who at the time of this announcement has already been removed from his positions as an AGS and MSCDC Gamma debater. Due to multiple confirmed complaints against him, we believe that transparency is required to prevent future harm and to uphold the core values of MSCDC.

Summary of Misconduct:

Over a period of time, Arham Akhyar has repeatedly violated the club’s ethical standards through actions including but not limited to:

1. Harassment and forceful attempts to initiate personal relationships with a female member (‘X’), including pressuring her friends to intervene and attempting to force offline interaction. Multiple eyewitnesses verified the incidents.

2. Unwanted and forceful communication with juniors, causing fear and discouragement among newer members — including aggressive attempts at physical contact such as forced handshakes. Eyewitness accounts and complaints confirm this behavior.

3. Displaying flirtatious and uncomfortable behavior towards teammates, such as asking inappropriate personal questions like preferred color of roses — leading to discomfort and tension within teams.

4. Blackmailing juniors, including threats to spread false rumors involving sensitive personal information, which directly harmed club members and violated trust.

5. Damaging the club’s reputation externally, including misconduct involving individuals outside MSCDC who raised concerns about his character.

To protect victim privacy, aliases such as X, Y, and Z have been used.

Violation of MSCDC Constitution:

According to the findings and evidence reviewed by the Executive Committee, Arham has violated:

Rule 2 — Zero tolerance toward any form of sexual harassment

Rule 4 — Prohibition of harmful activities toward any club member

Rule 5 — Prohibition on backbiting / defamation within the debate community

Rule 6 — Protection of the club’s reputation in the debate circuit

His actions have already led juniors to lose confidence in the club environment and feel unsafe participating in activities.

Final Decision which is effective immediately:

Arham Akhyar is permanently expelled from MSCDC.
He is banned from participating in all club activities, events, teams, affiliations, or gatherings going forward.

MSCDC holds zero tolerance toward harassment, blackmail, or unethical behavior of any kind. We stand firmly with the victims and thank them for their courage in coming forward.

Our very own MSCDC ALPHA, consisting of Mohammad Safowan and Farhan Tanvir Fahim, has just been crowned the High School Champion,Safowan being the Debater of the final(DOF) and Farhan being Debater of the Tournament (HS) at the 7th GSCDC Nationals!
