এক বছরের স্থগিত নিষেধাজ্ঞাসহ দুই বছরের জন্য সব রকমের ক্রিকেটীয় কার্যক্রম থেকে নিষিদ্ধ করা হয়েছে বাংলাদেশ টেস্ট ও টি-টোয়েন্টি অধিনায়ক সাকিব আল হাসানকে। আইসিসির দুর্নীতি দমন কমিশনের কাছে সাকিব এই সাজা মেনেও নিয়েছেন।

তিন বার জুয়াড়িদের কাছ থেকে ম্যাচ পাতানোর প্রস্তাব পেলেও আইসিসির দুর্নীতি দমন কমিশন (আকসু) কে না জানানোয় এই সাজা পেলেন বাংলাদেশের সবচেয়ে বড় ক্রিকেট তারকা।
