English Communication: A Skill for a Global Future

The government’s willingness to introduce a Speaking Test alongside the written English examination in the future primary curriculum, with the aim of strengthening students’ communication skills, is an encouraging step forward.

At NCGS, we have been nurturing these skills for years through our English Club and regular opportunities for students to practise speaking, listening, reading and expressing themselves confidently in English.

We are pleased to see the importance of communication skills receiving greater recognition in primary education. It reinforces what we have always believed: a strong English foundation is not just about writing correctly - it is about having the confidence to communicate. 💙
