কোন কাজ করা উচিত ছিল কিন্তু করা হয়নি সেক্ষেত্রে আমরা "should have " ব্যবহার করি।
গঠণ: subject + should have + V3 + extension.
যেমন:
আমার কাজটি করা উচিত ছিল।
I should have done the work.
তোমার পার্কে যাওয়া উচিত ছিল।
You should have gone to the park.
আমাদের তাকে সাহায্য করা উচিত ছিল।
We should have helped him.
আমাদের পরিক্ষায় ভালো করা উচিত ছিল।
We should have done well in the examination.
