করোনা ভাইরাস প্রতিরোধ করতে:

১। সাবান, গরম পানি বা স্যানিটাইজার দিয়ে অন্তত ২০ সেকেন্ড ধরে হাত ধুতে হবে।
২। হাঁচি বা কাশির সময় টিস্যু ব্যবহার করতে হবে। টিস্যু না থাকলে কনুইয়ের মাঝে নাক-মুখ ঢাকতে হবে।
৩। হাত না ধুয়ে চোখ, মুখ বা নাকে হাত দেওয়া যাবে না।
৪। যেখানে সেখানে থু থু ফেলা যাবে না।
৫। সবসময় হাতের কাছে বিশুদ্ধ পানি রাখতে হবে।
৬। একবারে বেশি করে পানি পান করে লাভ নেই। বরং কিছুক্ষণ পরপর অল্প অল্প পান করে কণ্ঠনালীকে সবসময় আদ্র করে রাখুন।
৭। ট্রেন, বাস এবং যেকোনো পাবলিক ট্রান্সপোটেশনে মাস্ক পড়তে ভুলো না।
৮। অসুস্থ কারো খুব কাছে যাওয়া এবং একান্ত প্রয়োজন ছাড়া ভীড় এড়িয়ে চলতে হবে।
৯। যে সব খাবারে ভিটামিন সি আছে সেই খাবার গুলো বেশী করে খেতে হবে।

Prevention of Coronavirus

There is currently no vaccine to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. However, as a reminder, CDC always recommends everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases, including:

Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Stay home when you are sick.

Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

Follow CDC’s recommendations for using a facemask.

CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.

Facemasks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others. The use of facemasks is also crucial for health workers and people who are taking care of someone in close settings (at home or in a health care facility).

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.

করোনা ভাইরাস (কোভিড-১৯) নিজেই পরীক্ষা করুন

এই মুহূর্তে করোনা ভাইরাস পুরো বিশ্ব, বিশেষ করে চীন ও আশেপাশের দেশগুলোতে প্রচণ্ড আতংকের সৃষ্টি করেছে। এযাবৎ প্রায় তিনহাজার মানুষ মারা গিয়েছেন, যার প্রায় দুইহাজার আটশত জনই চীনে। বিশ্বের ৫০টিরও বেশি দেশে করোনা ভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত মানুষের সন্ধান মিলেছে, এবং সারা বিশ্বে আশি হাজারেরও বেশি মানুষ আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন।বাংলাদেশেও এই রোগ ছড়িয়ে পড়ার আশংকা রয়েছে এবং ইতোমধ্যেই বিদেশে অবস্থানরত কয়েকজন বাংলাদেশির মধ্যে এই ভাইরাস সংক্রমণের তথ্য পাওয়া গিয়েছে।

সমস্যা হচ্ছে, কেউ আক্রান্ত হলে তার দেহে এই ভাইরাসের চিহ্ন বা লক্ষণ খুঁজে পেতে অনেকদিন সময় লেগে যায়। সাধারণত করোনা ভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত হয়ে জ্বর বা কাশি নিয়ে হাসপাতালে যাওয়ার আগেই তার ফুসফুসের ৫০% ফাইব্রোসিস (সূক্ষ্ম অংশুসমূহের বৃদ্ধি) তৈরি হয়ে যায়, যার মানে অনেক দেরি হয়ে গেছে।

তাইওয়ানের বিশেষজ্ঞরা কেউ আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন কি না, সেটা নিজে নিজেই পরীক্ষা করার একটি পদ্ধতি আবিষ্কার করেছেন, যেটা কেউ প্রতিদিন সকালে উঠেই কয়েক সেকেন্ডে একবার পরীক্ষা করে নিশ্চিন্ত হতে পারেন। পরীক্ষাটা হলো;

পরিচ্ছন্ন পরিবেশে লম্বা একটা শ্বাস নিয়ে সেটাকে দশ সেকেন্ডের কিছুটা বেশি সময় ধরে আটকে রাখুন। যদি এই দম ধরে রাখার সময়ে আপনার কোনো কাশি না আসে, বুকে ব্যথা বা চাপ অনুভব না হয়, মানে কোনো প্রকার অস্বস্তি না লাগে, তার মানে আপনার ফুসফুসে কোনো ফাইব্রোসিস তৈরি হয়নি অর্থাৎ কোনো ইনফেকশন হয়নি, আপনি সম্পূর্ণ ঝুঁকিমুক্ত আছেন।

জাপানের ডাক্তাররা আরেকটি অত্যন্ত ভালো উপদেশ দিয়েছেন যে, সবাই চেষ্টা করবেন যেন আপনার গলা ও মুখের ভেতরটা কখনো শুকনো না হয়ে যায়, ভেজা ভেজা থাকে। তাই প্রতি পনেরো মিনিট অন্তর একচুমুক হলেও পানি পান করুন।

কারণ, কোনোভাবে ভাইরাসটি আপনার মুখ দিয়ে শরীরে প্রবেশ করলেও সেটি পানির সাথে পাকস্থলীতে চলে যাবে, আর পাকস্থলীর এসিড মুহূর্তেই সেই ভাইরাসকে মেরে ফেলবে।

A Barber and A Ghost

Once a barber was passing through a jungle. The jungle was haunted by a ghost. He knew it. But he was very brave and cunning. Suddenly he saw somebody sitting on the branch of a tamarind tree. He got startled. But he was not such a person who would run in fear. He approached towards it courageously. The ghost also got down from the tree and stood in his way. The barber saw that the ghost was strange to look at. His hands, legs, teeth, nose were deformed. He made a barricade extending his hands and told that he (ghost) would kill him (barber). In a shrieking voice the ghost said, “Hey barber, I will now kill you and eat you up. Nobody can save you.”
The barber got angry but suppressed his anger. He could realize that he had to defeat him by the intellect, not by bodily power. With ready wit, he said, “Do you know I have a mightier ghost than you and he obeys me strictly?” The ghost got furious and said, “I don’t believe that there is any ghost other than me in this locality.”
Then the barber took out his mirror and put it before the face of the ghost. The ghost has not seen such a terrifying face before got terrified. Still, he wanted to frighten the ghost in the mirror (his reflection). The reflection also frowned. The ghost without standing a single moment there ran away in extreme fear. The barber started for his home with great delight.

আগাছাগুলা কে নিয়ে লিখতে কোন ইচ্ছাই করে না। তবে আগাছা যখন আপনার সুন্দর বাগান খেয়ে ফেলবে তখন আপনি চুপ করে থাকতেও পারবেন না। অহংকার ভালো না। আপনি আপনার অতীত থেকে যদি শিক্ষা না নেন তাহলে ভবিষ্যত অন্ধকার। শিক্ষা নিয়ে ব্যবসা করছেন ভালো কথা, কিন্তু আপনাদের তথা কথিত প্রোডাক্টগুলো (ছাত্র /ছাত্রী) ফরমালিন দিয়ে ভেজাল আর বিষযুক্ত করবেন না। একদিন পস্তাবেন। হয়ত সেদিন বেশি দূরে নয়।
