"আসুন এবার বন্যার্তদের পাশে দাঁড়াই"
ফেনী, নোয়াখালি, কুমিল্লা,লক্ষীপুর, কুড়িগ্রাম এবং খাগড়াছড়িসহ আশেপাশের অঞ্চল বন্যা আক্রান্ত হয়ে পড়েছে। টানা বৃষ্টিপাতে মুহুরি নদীর পানি বিপদসীমার অনেক উপর দিয়ে প্রবাহিত হচ্ছে। কিছু বুঝে ওঠার আগেই বিপদে পড়েছে সংলগ্ন এলাকাগুলো।
মানুষ ঘরের চালে উঠেও ঠাঁই পাচ্ছে না, হাঁড়িতে ভাসিয়ে রাখা হচ্ছে শিশুদের, গরু মরে ভেসে যাচ্ছে, খামারের হাজার হাজার মুরগী পানিতে ডুবে মরেছে মাত্র কয়েক ঘন্টার ব্যবধানে। বৃদ্ধ আর অসুস্থ মানুষদের কষ্টের কথা বলাই বাহুল্য।
দেশের এই অবস্থায়, আমরা খুলনা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীরা চাই মানুষের প্রয়োজনে এগিয়ে আসতে। আমরা আগামী তিনদিন (২৪ আগস্ট পর্যন্ত) আপনাদের পাঠানো ডোনেশন সংগ্রহ করবো এবং যত দ্রুত সম্ভব সাহায্য নিয়ে পৌঁছে যাবো বন্যা কবলিত গ্রামে।
