Congratulations Mafrid Haydar, Lecturer, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, KUET, for being elected as Executive Member (Program Affairs) in the Khulna Local Chapter of the Bangladesh Institution of Planners (BIP).

Department of Urban and Regional Planning, KUET successfully hosted a seminar titled "Quantifying Cyclone-Induced Risk in a Changing Climate Using Physics and Machine Learning" on March 7, 2024. We were honored to have Dr. Sai Ravela, Director, Earth Signals and Systems Group, Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as our keynote speaker. The seminar was attended by enthusiastic students and faculty members from our department, contributing to an enriching exchange of ideas and insights on this crucial topic.

World Town Planning Day-2020: Call for Photograph, Poster, Thesis, Documentary, Innovative Idea and Urban Design Competition

Dear Planner,

Like every year, Bangladesh Institute of Planners (BIP) is going to celebrate the World Town Planning Day 2020 in a befitting manner. In the context of the current global CORONA pandemic, it has been decided that all the events will be held online, taking into account the health risks. This year, the theme of the day has been chosen as ‘Urban Planning for Public Health (জনস্বাস্থ্যের জন্য নগর পরিকল্পনা)’.

In this connection, “Planning Innovation, Planning Documentary, Photograph, Poster, Planning Thesis and Urban Design Project Competition” will be arranged online platform for the Planners and Students of Planning Schools. Selected Posters, Photographs, Documentary, Innovations and Designs will be displayed, presented and projected for online exhibition on the Town Planning Day.

We expect your active participation in these competitions and events on the occasion of World Town Planning Day 2020. Please see the detailed guidelines attached herewith this mail for the deadline and other criterions for the relevant submissions.

Final Result of 14th Executive Board (2020-2021) Election of Bangladesh Institute of Planners - BIP has been published.

KUET-URP would like to congratulate every member of the new board as well as every candidate who have contested in this election.
