NWU Annual Cricket Tournament 2026-এ Team EEE এবংDepartment of EEE, NWU ডিপার্টমেন্টের শিক্ষার্থীদের কিছু স্মরণীয় মুহূর্ত।🏏

Meet Pallob K. Gain, a former student of North Western University Department of EEE, (Spring ’15), who continues to turn dreams into reality. After completing his M.Sc. in EEE from KUET, he has now joined Innerspec Technologies (Europe Branch) as a Robotics Engineer in Madrid, Spain 🇪🇸🤖
This remarkable journey is a true example of how dedication, perseverance, and passion for engineering can take you from the classroom to the global stage. Your success inspires current students and alumni to aim higher, work harder, and believe in their potential.
"I believe that in engineering, academic knowledge, practical skills, and passion are all extremely important. I reached my current position because of the combination of these three factors.
Before getting admitted to university, I already had a clear passion and a target. Once I entered university, I started learning everything necessary to achieve that goal. My interest was in a field where software and hardware come together, and that is why I focused on developing skills in both areas.
At the initial stage, I learned programming alongside basic electronics, making sure my fundamental concepts were clear. Whenever I did not understand something, I would visit my teachers to learn why things worked the way they did. I spent a lot of time in the teachers’ rooms during that phase, and that curiosity helped me grow.
Gradually, I moved into microcontrollers and embedded electronics. Once I felt confident about my core concepts, I started building prototypes using microcontrollers. At first, I tried to solve common problems and even attempted to create commercializable products.
From childhood, I had a strong interest in robotics and computers. I always wanted to build robots and computer systems. This interest guided the next phase of my journey. While working with embedded electronics, I got the opportunity to work with a Mexican company on robotics projects. Over time, my interest turned into passion, and my passion became my profession.
During that work, we needed to design custom single-board computers, which motivated me to learn about microprocessors. Alongside this, I also started learning how operating systems work. Later, these two skills took my career even further, and I got the opportunity to work with a US-based multinational robotics company.
Because I had strong skills in both microprocessor systems and core operating system concepts—such as kernel design and programming language design—I was able to contribute to developing robot operating systems along with hardware.
So, my message to you is this: if you make yourself a complete package of skills, no one can stop you. In today’s era, engineers need to be versatile and well-rounded. Skills such as hardware design, PCB design, microprocessors, Linux firmware, microcontrollers, and embedded firmware together form a powerful skill set. With these capabilities, you can take on almost any challenge in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering."
