আজ BGC Trust Medical College-এ Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Week উপলক্ষে একটি অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ও সমৃদ্ধ সেমিনার অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।
বর্তমান বৈশ্বিক স্বাস্থ্যব্যবস্থায় অ্যান্টিমাইক্রোবিয়াল রেজিস্ট্যান্স একটি নীরব মহামারি হিসেবে উদ্ভাসিত হচ্ছে—আর এ নিয়েই আজকের আলোচনায় উঠে এসেছে রেশনাল অ্যান্টিবায়োটিক ব্যবহার, স্টুয়ার্ডশিপ, প্রিভেনশন স্ট্রাটেজি এবং ভবিষ্যৎ ঝুঁকি মোকাবিলার বাস্তবধর্মী দিকগুলো।

✨ Biochemistry 1st Year Quiz Competition – Final Round 2025!
What an exciting and inspiring day it was for our 1st-year MBBS students at BGC Trust Medical College! The quiz final was full of energy, teamwork, and friendly competition — truly showcasing the spirit of learning and curiosity.

We were deeply honoured to have among us our honourable & beloved Principal Professor Dr. Arup Datta Bappi and Dr. Md. Mohiuddin (Associate Professor & HOD of Biochemistry), Dr. Borhan Uddin (Assistant Professor-Community Medicine & AGM-Admin) and Dr. Zubayer Al Mahmood (Assistant Professor & HOD of Forensic Medicine).Their presence and encouraging words made the event even more special for everyone.

🌿✨ Welcoming the Future Healers: Orientation & Green Initiatives at BGC Trust Medical College

Today marked a significant milestone for the 1st-year MBBS students (Session: 2024–2025) at BGC Trust Medical College Hospital. The campus was abuzz with excitement as our newest batch embarked on their medical journey with the official orientation programme.

The day commenced with insightful sessions led by esteemed faculty members, providing the freshers with an overview of the academic path ahead, the values of compassionate care, and the rich legacy of BGC Trust Medical College.

In a beautiful blend of tradition and environmental consciousness, the orientation was followed by a tree plantation drive. Our budding doctors took to the soil, planting saplings that symbolize their commitment to both health and the planet. This initiative reflects our institution's dedication to nurturing not just skilled professionals but also responsible global citizens.

বিজিসি ট্রাস্ট মেডিকেল কলেজের শিশুরোগ বিভাগে নিয়মিত একাডেমিক কার্যক্রমের অংশ হিসেবে মর্নিং সেশন, কেস প্রেজেন্টেশন, জার্নাল ক্লাব, ডেথ রিভিউ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এই সেশনগুলোতে চিকিৎসক ও মেডিকেল শিক্ষার্থীরা অংশগ্রহণ করে, যা তাদের ক্লিনিক্যাল দক্ষতা ও জ্ঞান বৃদ্ধিতে সহায়ক ভূমিকা রাখে।
শিশুরোগ বিভাগের এই নিয়মিত সেশনগুলো চিকিৎসা শিক্ষার গুণগত মান উন্নয়নে অত্যন্ত কার্যকর। এটি শিক্ষার্থীদের ক্রিটিক্যাল থিংকিং,ক্লিনিক্যাল রিজনিং এবং টিমওয়ার্ক এর দক্ষতা বাড়াতে সাহায্য করে। বিভাগটি ভবিষ্যতে আরও বিশেষায়িত ওয়ার্কশপ বা সেমিনার আয়োজনের পরিকল্পনা করছে।

স্বাস্থ্য শিক্ষা অধিদপ্তরের নির্দেশনানুসারে গত (৭-১৫)জানুয়ারি -২০২৫ -এ বি জি সি ট্রাস্ট মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে সাংস্কৃতিক সপ্তাহ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

উক্ত সাংস্কৃতিক প্রতিযোগীতার বিভিন্ন সেক্টরে (রবীন্দ্র সংগীত,নজরুলগীতি,লোকগীতি,দেশাত্ববোধকগান,আধুনিকগান,হামদ্ নাত,উপস্থিত বক্তৃতা,বিতর্ক) ১ম,২য় ও ৩য় স্থান অধিকারীদের নিয়ে বিভাগীয় পর্যায়ে ২য় পর্বের প্রতিযোগীতা অনুষ্ঠিত হয় চট্টগ্রাম মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে গত (২৭-২৮)ই মে ২০২৫ খ্রিষ্টাব্দে, যেখানে চট্টগ্রাম অঞ্চলের সরকারি বেসরকারি মিলিয়ে সর্বমোট ৮টি মেডিকেল কলেজের প্রতিযোগীরা অংশগ্রহণ করে। সেই প্রতিযোগীতায় বি জি সি ট্রাস্ট মেডিকেল কলেজের শিক্ষার্থীগণ কৃতিত্বের সহিত বিভিন্ন সেক্টরে নিজেদের প্রতিভার পরিচয় দেন, যেখানে বি জি সি ট্রাস্ট মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতাল ডিবেডিং টিম গ্রুপ চ্যাম্পিয়ন হন এবং ফাইনালে চমেকহা ডিবেডিং টিমের সাথে প্রতিযোগীতা করে সার্বিকভাবে রানার্স আপ হয়,রবীন্দ্র সংগীতে ৩য় হন অদিতা ঘোষ রায়,নজরুলগীতিতে ৩য় হয় লিংকন নাথ,হামদ্ নাতে ৩য় হয় রায়হান উদ্দীন মিকাত...সার্বিকভাবে ৮টি মেডিকেল কলেজের মধ্যে স্থান অর্জনের ভিত্তিতে বি জি সি ট্রাস্ট মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতাল ৩য় স্থান অর্জন করেন( সর্বমোট ৪টি স্থান)। পরবর্তীতে স্থান অর্জনকারী প্রতিযোগীগণ ৩য় ধাপে ঢাকাতে জাতীয় পর্যায়ে অংশগ্রহণ করবে।আমরা আমাদের শিক্ষার্থীদের এই গৌরবোজ্জ্বল অর্জনে তাদের সকলকে নিয়ে গর্বিত।

Continuing Medical Education (CME) Session at BGC Trust Medical College Hospital

We were honored to host Dr. Mahade Hassan, a proud alumnus from the 1st batch of BGC Trust Medical College, for an insightful CME session on "Updated Management of Cardiac Arrest in Hospital Settings" held on 12th May 2025 at our college premises.

The session was organized by the Department of Medicine, with the esteemed presence of our respected teachers, doctors, and students. The program was chaired by our honorable Principal, Prof. Dr. Arup Dutta, and enriched by the expertise of Associate Professor Dr. Aftab E Din, who served as a panel expert.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Mahade Hassan for sharing his knowledge, experience, and valuable time with us. His presentation was not only educational but also deeply inspiring for our medical community.
