Introductory "It"
✅ Definition:
Introductory "it" is a dummy subject used to introduce a sentence when the real subject is an infinitive, gerund, or clause that comes later in the sentence.

It fills the subject position to keep English sentence structure smooth and natural.

🧠 Form:
It + [linking verb] + [adjective/noun/phrase] + [real subject]

📝 Examples:
1. It is important to stay focused.
→ Real subject: To stay focused

2. It seems that he is tired.
→ Real subject: That he is tired

3. It was hard to believe the news.
→ Real subject: To believe the news

4. It is likely that she will win.
→ Real subject: That she will win



Introductory "There"
✅ Definition:
Introductory "there" is a dummy subject used to state that something exists, happens, or is located somewhere. It shifts the real subject to later in the sentence.

It introduces the existence or presence of someone or something.

🧠 Form:
There + [verb "to be"] + [real subject] + (place/time)

📝 Examples:
1. There is a problem with your code.
→ Real subject: A problem

2. There are many reasons to travel.
→ Real subject: Many reasons

3. There will be a meeting at noon.
→ Real subject: A meeting

4. There was an accident on the highway.
→ Real subject: An accident

নিচের কোন বাক্যাংশটি সঠিক?
1. Answer to question no. 1
2. Answer to the question no. 2

প্রতিটি ছাত্র এবং শিক্ষকই উপরের বাক্য দুটির সাথে খুবই পরিচিত। কারণ শিক্ষার্থীরা পরীক্ষার খাতায় প্রশ্ন নম্বর লেখার সময় উপরের বাক্য দুটি প্রায়শই ব্যবহার করে থাকে। লক্ষ্য করুন উপরের ১ নং বাক্যটিতে article 'the' এর ব্যবহার নেই কিন্তু ২ নং বাক্যটিতে article 'the' এর ব্যবহার আছে।
আমরা একটু বিস্তারিত জানার চেষ্টা করি।

দুটোই ব্যাকরণগতভাবে সঠিক।

Answer to question number-1
এই বাক্যাংশটি সংক্ষিপ্ত এবং সহজবোধ্য। এটি অতিরিক্ত শব্দ ছাড়াই নির্দিষ্ট প্রশ্ন নম্বরের উত্তর সরাসরি সংযুক্ত করে। এই formটি সাধারণত একাডেমিক বা আনুষ্ঠানিক লেখাতে ব্যবহৃত হয় যেখানে সংক্ষিপ্ততা পছন্দ করা হয়।
পক্ষান্তরে,
Answer to the question number-1 এই বাক্যাংশটিতে definite article "the" অন্তর্ভুক্ত রয়েছে যা একটু বেশি formality যোগ করে। ব্যাকরণগতভাবে সঠিক হলেও, এটি কিছুটা অপ্রয়োজনীয় কারণ "Answer to question number-1" বাক্যাংশটি ইতিমধ্যেই নির্দিষ্ট করে দেয় কোন প্রশ্নটি উল্লেখ করা হচ্ছে৷ তাছাড়া "Answer to question number 1" একটি definite identifier হিসাবে বিবেচিত হয়, তাই "the" প্রয়োজনীয় নয়৷
