BIJA successfully conducted Batch 2 & 3 of its training session titled “Digital Justice System, Rights, and Cyber Safety” under the theme “Education, Awareness, and Information-Know Your Rights. Understand the Process. Empower Yourself.” The training aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of digital justice mechanisms, legal rights, and cyber safety in Bangladesh.

In the both session, our students from 1st & 2nd batch joined the session successfully and performed well........

The session commenced with opening remarks by Jeba Mobashwira, Executive Director, who welcomed the participants and facilitated an interactive discussion to assess their existing knowledge of digital justice, cyber protection, and legal rights through engaging True/False questions. She also provided an overview of the training and introduced the key digital justice services to be covered.

Besides the students of National University, Bangladesh there were many others students from other institutes.

The Department of Law, National University, Bangladesh, is pleased to announce that our 09 students participated in "Energy Talk 4: Transition Reality in Bangladesh," held on 4 July 2026 at the Liberation War Museum, Agargaon, Dhaka.The seminar centered on Bangladesh's contemporary energy landscape, the prospects of renewable energy, and the significance of ensuring a Just Energy Transition. The programme brought together distinguished energy experts,researchers, policymakers, climate advocates, and representatives from various national and international organizations, offering an enriching platform for intellectual discourse, interdisciplinary learning, and professional engagement.

The presentations delivered by the three keynote speakers were highly insightful, engaging, and thought-provoking. They shared valuable perspectives on Bangladesh's energy transition, renewable energy, and sustainable development, making the discussions both informative and inspiring. Overall, the session was highly enjoyable and provided an excellent learning experience for all participants.Through their participation, the students had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of Bangladesh's energy transition while engaging with experts and stakeholders working in the fields of energy, climate policy, and sustainable development. Such exposure contributes significantly to broadening students' academic perspectives and fostering informed engagement with issues of national and global importance.

Viva-Voce Examination Successfully Conducted

The Viva-Voce Examination of the First Year, Second Semester students (Session: 2023–2024) of the Department of Law, National University, Bangladesh was successfully conducted on 30 June 2026 (Tuesday) at 10:00 AM in the Academic Building, National University, Bangladesh.

The examination was conducted in the gracious presence of:

• Professor Dr. Syed Hadiuzzaman, Honourable Chairman, Faculty of Humanities and Law, National University, Bangladesh.

• Shaikh Shohag Hossain and Sumaiya Sultana Emu, Honourable Faculty Members, Faculty of Humanities and Law, National University, Bangladesh.

জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের আইন বিভাগের প্রথম ব্যাচের শিক্ষার্থী এস. কে. অলিদ বিন আলিফ সম্প্রতি বাংলা একাডেমিতে Revolution’s Watch আয়োজিত “July Through the Lens of Literature” শীর্ষক কর্মশালায় জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, গাজীপুর ক্যাম্পাসের Campus Ambassador হিসেবে অংশগ্রহণ করেন।

কর্মশালায় জুলাই গণঅভ্যুত্থানের ইতিহাস, চেতনা, স্মৃতি ও আত্মত্যাগকে সাহিত্য, গবেষণা, ডকুমেন্টেশন এবং সাংস্কৃতিক চর্চার মাধ্যমে ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মের কাছে তুলে ধরার গুরুত্ব নিয়ে বিস্তারিত আলোচনা করা হয়। অংশগ্রহণকারীরা ইতিহাস সংরক্ষণের পাশাপাশি তা নতুন প্রজন্মের কাছে অর্থবহ ও প্রাসঙ্গিকভাবে উপস্থাপনের প্রয়োজনীয়তা সম্পর্কে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ দিকনির্দেশনা লাভ করেন।

জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের আইন বিভাগের একজন শিক্ষার্থীর এ ধরনের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কর্মশালায় অংশগ্রহণ আমাদের জন্য গর্বের বিষয়। আমরা তাঁর এই অর্জনের জন্য আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন জানাই এবং ভবিষ্যতে আরও সাফল্য কামনা করি।

Youth Assembly 2026 (Mock Parliament Simulation)-এ জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় অন ক্যাম্পাস প্রোগ্রামের আইন বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীদের অসাধারণ অংশগ্রহণে আইন বিভাগের পক্ষ থেকে আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও শুভেচ্ছা।

আজ বারসিক, আইইডি, জনউদ্যোগসহ ৫টি সংস্থার যৌথ আয়োজনে ঢাকার ন্যাশনাল ইনস্টিটিউট অব লোকাল গভর্নমেন্ট (NILG)-এ অনুষ্ঠিত Youth Assembly 2026-এ দেশের বিভিন্ন জেলা থেকে আগত তরুণ গবেষক, উন্নয়ন কর্মী, রাজনীতিবিদ, সরকার প্রতিনিধিরা অর্থনীতি, রাজনীতি, সমাজনীতি, কৃষি, পরিবেশ, জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন, জ্বালানি, জেন্ডার, পানি ও নগর সংকটসহ বিভিন্ন জাতীয় গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়ে মতামত ও প্রস্তাবনা উপস্থাপন করেন। এই আয়োজন তরুণদের মধ্যে চিন্তা, মতবিনিময় ও নীতি-আলোচনার একটি কার্যকর প্ল্যাটফর্ম তৈরি করেছে।

এই আয়োজনে আমাদের প্রতিনিধিরা অত্যন্ত সক্রিয়, আত্মবিশ্বাসী ও চিন্তাশীল ভূমিকা পালন করেছেন। তাদের উপস্থাপিত প্রশ্ন, বক্তব্য এবং সংসদীয় বিতর্কে অংশগ্রহণ উপস্থিত অতিথি, আয়োজক এবং বিভিন্ন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রতিনিধিদের প্রশংসা অর্জন করেছে। বিশেষভাবে উল্লেখযোগ্য যে, অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত অনেকেই জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় অন ক্যাম্পাস প্রোগ্রামের শিক্ষার্থীদের সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণ, যুক্তিনির্ভর উপস্থাপনা এবং নেতৃত্বের সম্ভাবনার ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেছেন।

আইন বিভাগের পক্ষ থেকে সকল প্রতিনিধিকে আন্তরিক শুভেচ্ছা ও অভিনন্দন। এই অর্জন আমাদের সবার জন্য গর্বের এবং আগামী দিনের আরও বড় সাফল্যের অনুপ্রেরণা।

Ms. Lamia Taz Noor is a distinguished academic, accomplished mooter, and dedicated mentor. She holds LL.B and LL.M degrees from the University of Chittagong and is currently serving as a Lecturer at East Delta University.

She represented the University of Chittagong at the 65th Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C., where her team secured the position of Runner-Up in the Bangladesh Qualifying Rounds.Her notable achievements include the Best Mooter Award, Champion of the SCLS Intra Moot Court Competition, and Best Performance Award in Non-Judicial Hearing. She also serves as the Executive Editor of Chittagong University Law Vision and is a Champion of the SCLS Law Olympiad, with distinctions for Best Research Paper and Best Poster Presentation.

This session will offer participants invaluable insights into the principles and techniques of effective oral advocacy, strategic argumentation, and the nuances of competitive mooting. It promises to be an intellectually enriching opportunity for students aspiring to develop their advocacy skills and pursue excellence in legal practice and moot court competitions. All students of the Department of Law are cordially invited to participate in this distinguished academic engagement and benefit from the expertise and experience of an accomplished mooter and legal educator.

The Department of Law of National University, Bangladesh extends its heartfelt congratulations
on this notable achievement.

In the Memorial Ranking of the 4th Professor Dr. Khabir Uddin Ahmed National Moot Court Competition 2026, the Department secured 32nd position among more than 63 participating teams.The team was represented by Proshanto Majumder Rudro as Researcher and Hafizur Nayeem and Sk Walid Been Alif as Oralists.

As the Department's first-ever participation in a moot court competition,this achievement marks a significant milestone and reflects the immense potential of our students. We look forward to even greater accomplishments in the years ahead.

On 28 April 2026, on the occasion of “National Legal Aid Day–2026,” the students of the Department of Law, National University, participated in a discussion session organized by the Gazipur Legal Aid Committee.The session was chaired by Mr. Abul Hasnat Md. Abdul Wadud and was attended by several distinguished personalities from the legal profession, who shared their valuable insights during the discussion.Through this program, the students gained a deeper and more practical understanding of the significance of legal aid services and their role in ensuring access to justice.

As part of the event, a voluntary blood donation programme was also held, in which several students from the Department of Law actively participated, reflecting their commitment to humanitarian values.The overall participation and engagement of the students were guided and supported by the respected faculty members of the Department of Law.
