It provides a couple of contemporary examples to demonstrate the persistence of imperial violence in the postcolonial world under the pretext of legal justification, peacemaking, protection of humanity, and self-defence or limiting violence.
Today’s warmongers, like their imperial predecessors, also propagate a similar argument that “‘small’ violence is necessary to keep and produce order”
The imperial powers use small wars to justify the expansion of their power, which, rather than promoting peacemaking, often leaves different regions of the world vulnerable to violence and large-scale war.
