ফেনীতে প্রথমবার ও-লেভেল পরীক্ষা অনুষ্ঠিত

নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক: ফেনীতে প্রথমবারের মতো অনুষ্ঠিত হলো ইংরেজি মাধ্যমের আইজিসিএসই বা ও-লেভেল পরীক্ষা। আন্তর্জাতিক সময় অনুযায়ি মঙ্গলবার সন্ধ্যা ৭টায় ফেনীর হোপ ইন্টারন্যাশনাল স্কুলে ব্রিটিশ কাউন্সিলের পরীক্ষা ভেন্যুতে শুরু হয় এ পরীক্ষা। জেলায় প্রথমবারের মতো ব্রিটিশ কাউন্সিলের পরীক্ষকদের তত্বাবধানে ওই স্কুলের ১৯জন শিক্ষার্থী জীব বিজ্ঞান বিষয়ে পরীক্ষায় অংশ নেয়। ফেনীতে একাধিক ইংরেজি মাধ্যমের বিদ্যালয় থাকলেও একমাত্র হোপ ইন্টারন্যাশনাল স্কুলে পরীক্ষা সেন্টার অনুমোদন দেয় ব্রিটিশ কাউন্সিল। এর আগে বিদ্যালয়টির শিক্ষার্থীরা আই পাইমারি ও লোয়ার সেকেন্ডারি আন্তর্জাতিক পরীক্ষায় অংশ নেয়।
ব্রিটিশ কাউন্সিল ও পিয়ারসন এডেক্সেল এর অধীনে হোপ ইন্টারন্যাশনাল স্কুল আন্তর্জাতিক পরীক্ষা সেন্টার হওয়ায় ফেনী ও আশপাশের জেলার ইংরেজি মাধ্যমের শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য বিশ্বমানের শিক্ষার নতুন দিগন্ত উন্মোচন হলো বলে মনে করেন বিদ্যালয়টির প্রতিষ্ঠাতা প্রিন্সিপাল মো: আলমগীর কবির।

ইতোমধ্যে হোপের শিক্ষার্থীরা কৃতিত্ব দেখিয়ে যুক্তরাজ্য, যুক্তরাষ্ট্র, কানাডা, অস্ট্রেলিয়া ও মালয়েশিয়ার বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠানে অধ্যয়ন করছে বলে জানান প্রিন্সিপাল। হোপ ইন্টারন্যাশনাল স্কুল ন্যাশনাল কারিকুলামে কুমিল্লা শিক্ষা বোর্ডের অধীনে ইংরেজি ভার্সনে এসএসসি এবং ব্রিটিশ কাউন্সিল ও পিয়ারসন এডেক্সেল লন্ডন এর অধীনে ইংরেজি মাধ্যমে প্লে থেকে এ-লেভেল পর্যন্ত ২০১৭ সাল থেকে আন্তর্জাতিক মানের শিক্ষাব্যবস্থা পরিচালনা করে আসছে। এখন থেকে হোপ ইন্টারন্যাশনাল স্কুল কেন্দ্রে ফেনী ছাড়াও আশপাশের সব জেলার ইংরেজি মাধ্যমের শিক্ষার্থীরা ও এবং এ লেভেলের পরীক্ষায় অংশ নিতে পারবেন।
এদিকে ফেনীতে আন্তর্জাতিক পরীক্ষা সেন্টার শুরু হওয়ায় অভিভাবকরাও উচ্ছ্বসিত। এর আগে ফেনীর বিভিন্ন শিক্ষার্থীরা ঢাকা, চট্টগ্রামে পরীক্ষায় অংশ নিতে হয়েছে। সে দূর্ভোগ কেটে আলোর পথে ফিরছে ফেনীর অভিভাবক ও শিক্ষার্থীরা। নিজ এলাকায় কেন্দ্রের মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীদের যেমনি মনোবল বাড়বে তেমনি অভিভাবকদের সময় ও অর্থ সাশ্রয় হবে বলে মনে করেন ফেনীবাসী।

A Proud & Historic Moment for Feni District
For the very first time in the history of Feni District, 19 candidates of Hope International School are going to appear in the IGCSE (‘O’ Level) Examination at a British Council Exam Venue in Feni Town.
Today, our Honourable Founder Principal officially distributed the Statement of Entry (SOE), Admission Tickets, and other necessary examination documents among the candidates in the presence of respected members of the school management committee.
We feel truly thrilled and honoured to achieve this remarkable milestone not only for Feni Town but also for the entire Comilla Education Region. This achievement reflects the dedication, hard work, and continuous efforts of our students, teachers, parents, and management.

Hope International School Achieves Landmark Recognition as International Examination Centre.

Feni, Bangladesh:
Hope International School, a leading English Medium (British Curriculum) and English Version institution in Feni, has reached a significant milestone by being officially approved as an International Examination Centre for IGCSE (O Level) and A Level examinations.
Established with a vision to provide quality education, the school follows a dual curriculum system, integrating both national and international standards. It has already received approval from the Ministry of Education and the Cumilla Education Board for English Version, as well as international recognition from Pearson Edexcel, London, UK for its English Medium curriculum.
On 9th March, a delegation team from the British Council visited the school campus to conduct an official inspection. Following a successful evaluation, the institution was granted approval to operate as an international examination centre. This achievement marks a historic moment not only for the school but also for the entire Feni district, as no other institution in the region has previously attained this status.
The Founder Principal, Md. Alamgir Kabir, expressed his gratitude and pride, stating that the journey was challenging and required overcoming numerous obstacles. However, with the unwavering support of students, parents, staff, and well-wishers, and above all, the blessings of Almighty Allah, the school successfully achieved this prestigious recognition.
He further added that this accomplishment reflects the dedication, commitment, and vision of the entire school community. It is expected to open new opportunities for students in Feni, allowing them to participate in internationally recognized examinations without the need to travel to distant cities.

Hope International School proudly organized a Discussion and Prayer Program on the occasion of 26 March - Independence Day of Bangladesh.

The program began with the hoisting of the national flag followed by a moment of silence in remembrance of the martyrs. Students and teachers actively participated in the discussion session, where they highlighted the history, significance, and sacrifices behind our independence.

Respected teachers delivered valuable speeches focusing on patriotism, unity, and responsibility towards the nation.

A special prayer (Doa Mahfil) was arranged seeking eternal peace for the departed souls of the martyrs and prosperity, peace, and progress for our beloved Bangladesh.

The program concluded with a renewed commitment to uphold the spirit of independence and contribute positively to the nation.
