If you don’t want your husband to stare at another woman, stop uploading yourself!
Have a look at your display picture, and the media you upload, would you be comfortable with your husband looking at another woman like that?
And before you upload yourself, think about how you would feel if someone stared at the part of yourself which you upload in real life, would you like that? Or if you post your family for example, would you be comfortable with someone staring at them? Because you are giving them permission to stare at you for as long as they want, so don’t look up weird when they do the same in real life!
And if you don’t want your wife looking at another man, stop taking posting yourself so lightly!
“It is not haram for a man to post himself”
Clearly, you’re gonna choose a good picture of you to display yourself, or when you upload yourself working out you clearly want to be seen because of the same reason. Would you really be okay with your wife looking at another man’s muscles, him working out like you post yourself? Don’t upload yourself doing the things you wouldn’t want your wife to look at from another guy.
And this goes with anything you do or say, always reflect it on yourself and on your own situation;
“Would I like this to be done to my wife or my daughter?”
“Would I really want someone to do this to me?”
Think before your actions
“B-b-b but I am fully covered”
“B-b but men aren’t such a fitnah for women”
If you don’t want your spouse looking at the same things from another man or woman, don’t do it yourself.
If you don’t want them to look at a niqabi, stop uploading yourself even if you’re fully covered! And if you don’t want them to look at another guy working out, don’t post yourself doing the exact same thing either!
And especially for the sisters, they tend to put themselves on their display picture and think it is okay when they’re fully covered, or it’s just their hand or sleeve of their abaya showing, when it is definitely not okay.
And even generally, both brothers and sisters seem to have no issue when it comes to uploading a niqabi, as long as it ain’t them or their wife. No gheerah for your sisters in Islam, and they use these other sisters in jilbab and niqab, for aesthetics, or in the backround of a poem or clip of a scholar talking, or sometimes even as backround of the Quran playing Subhanallah!
Fear Allāh ﷻ, take down any pictures of niqabi women you have up on your page, whether that is you yourself, or other sisters.
We gotta be more careful and strict on enjoining good and forbidding evil, I noticed even myself that I got more loose regarding it ever since I started to be engaged on twitter.
