Muhammad Afsar Uddin โ Newly Appointed Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering
We are pleased to introduce Assistant Professor Muhammad Afsar Uddin, who has been appointed as the Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. With extensive experience in academia and research, he has made significant contributions to the field of Computer Science and Engineering.
Mr. Afsar Uddin is currently pursuing his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET). He completed both his Master of Science (Engineering) and Bachelor of Science (Engineering) from Noakhali Science and Technology University. His research interests include Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Multimodal Emotion Recognition, where he has actively engaged in various research projects.
Before joining Feni University, he worked as an Assistant Professor (July 2021 โ January 2025) and Lecturer (July 2016 โ June 2021) at Z. H. Sikder University of Science & Technology (ZHSUST) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in academic and administrative responsibilities.
His leadership, dedication, and commitment to research and student development will undoubtedly bring valuable contributions to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
