I am on a bus হইলো; কিন্তু I am in a car কেন হবে!
ব্যাপারটা একটু মনযোগ দিবেন,
ট্রান্সপোর্টের ক্ষেত্রে আমরা তিনটা বিষয় খেয়াল করে Preposition ইউস করি!
প্রথব বিষয়ঃ কোনো ট্রান্সপোর্টের উপরে বসা বুঝালে সেক্ষেত্রে সরাসরি বসবেঃ
যেমন, I was on a bike.
I was on a bicycle.
I was on a horse.

২য় বিষয়ঃ কোনো ট্রান্সপোর্টে যদি মুভমেন্ট করার মত জায়গা থাকে, যেখানে হাটাচলা করা যায়, তাহলে এদের আগে বসবে,
যেমনঃ I was on a bus.
I was on a train.
I was on a ship.
I was on an airplane.

৩য় বিষয়ঃ কোনো ট্রান্সপোর্টে যদি আটোসাটো হয়ে বা সীটবেল্ট লাগিয়ে বসে থাকতে হয়, এদের আগে বসে।
যেমনঃ I was in a car.
I was in a van.
I was in a taxi.

Oh no, not axe throwing again!?

Maybe not. We did it last year. This year we're doing karaoke at our Christmas party. Roy is already practising singing some songs by Ariana Grande!

Neil

I do not like the sound of that!

Jiaying

What's wrong? Do you not like the sound of Roy's singing?

Neil

No! I mean, I don't like the idea of doing karaoke. When you 'don't like the sound of something' it means you don't like something you have been told or read about.

Jiaying

I've got it. Well, hopefully, Neil, you'll like the sound of these examples!

Examples

We've been told to start work an hour earlier - I do not like the sound of that.

I don't like the sound of that new shopping centre - it's going to increase the amount of traffic around here.

I didn't like the sound of Enrique's camping trip - it involved walking ten kilometres with our tents!
