May Day- International Day of the Worker💙

"Worker-Owner Unity, Build Smart Bangladesh."

Today is a historic day for the world's working people to gain their rights. This day of labour sacrifice is known as 'Great May Day' and is observed all around the world at the same time. On this day in 1886, workers at the Hay Market in Chicago, Illinois, began a movement to demand a fair wage for labour and more than eight hours of work per day. That day, the police opened fire on the protesting workers. A large number of workers were injured. The need for eight hours of daily work was formed as a result of their self-sacrifice. Since then, the day has been known as May Day.

This year's May Day in Bangladesh has been designated as "Worker-Owner Unity, Build Smart Bangladesh."

In Bangladesh, Ministry of Labor and Employment has taken programs on the occasion of Great May Day.President and Prime Minister gave separate messages and national newspapers published separate articles.

Ethical Social Research Initiative also believe,'We have been successful in achieving our goals because we have worked hard together as a team.'
